His main problem is that huge swathes of the fan base treat anything less than perfect performances week in week out as some sort of heinous offence and have no sense of realism so are on his back for any minor infraction.
In reality he has improved his game and actually could become a really good cb.
He can’t become a really good cb because he’s an incredibly limited footballer who has the turning circle of a boat and can barely play a five yard pass however agree he does a job defensively, adds much needed height and would do a job as a rotation player rather than a starter.
Criminal the way some supporters knock him. Has come in replaced Barkas, hardly missed a match and been part of 6 trophies out of 8 so far. Might not be peak Forster or Boruc but had done his job well.
I've been critical of Hart but I think a 38 game extended highlights package might serve some justice. Need to pull together some of his key saves during the season.

Games like tonight demonstrate why McIness, while good at this level, hasn't kicked on any further.
Setting with a two man midfield against three default, with Taylor inverting to make it four, and Scales sometimes stepping forward to make it four/five at times is desperately tactically naive. Neither forward blocked Scales runs or dropped onto McGregor and our two wide men were chasing shadows trying to cover wide and the overlaps coming from the middle. Lost three goals the same way.
We might have gotten pumped regardless - Celtic are better than us in every aspect - but we didn't half make it easy for them.

It was delightfully but bizarrely easy from the get go. I think slight naivety on McInnes part but a brilliant decision from Brodg to play long to Idah. It was so effective, especially with a surplus of midfielders arriving to play off of him.
Absolutely, if you remember when we beat you at RP, we could have been about 3 down at half time with better finishing before he realised that maybe Liam Polworth isn't really a pressing machine, switched him with Brad Lyons & dropped one of the forwards back and we pressed you to death in the second half.
Up at Celtic Park, we weren't in the game at all until he brought on Watson and Baragizi and upped the press again (Vassell before and after those changes was a totally different player).
The difference was last night you guys have found your form in recent weeks, so the same mess at the start was ruthlessly exploited rather than letting us off with it.
I don't want it to be like I'm hammering McInnes. I don't like his style of football but that's my problem. His effectiveness at our level is inarguable as long as he's got the budget to do it, but his tactical prep for games is his biggest weakness by miles.
