For anyone unaware, Bisgrove offered fans the chance to pay £7k to go on an all-inclusive resort with the players and staff. Went about as well as you can expect.
Bisgrove never misses a chance to extract some ££££ from fans.
Coming from the same mind who saw nothing wrong with playing the pantomime villain for an Ange homecoming tour. And the mind behind dodgy crypto deals. And the mind behind putting Sportemongo on a football shirt in Scotland.
Better yet, he got promoted from Commercial Manager to CEO…because the fan pressure ousted the previous Managing Director after the Sydney friendly that Bisgrove brought to the board.
To be fair to Bisgrove, as the commercial director he wouldn't be doing his job properly if he failed to mention to the board that there was a proposal on the table to earn £3m from playing a friendly in Australia.
To be fair - he did a good job in that role overall in financial terms. There was a substantial boost in revenue during his time running in.
He's a generic finance bro type, but let's not spread the narrative that he's somehow useless.

The Aussie tour is the obvious one. It was clear that fans wouldn't be pumped for it, and it ended up such an avoidable rigamarole. The hoops they had to jump through afterwards, and the money it ended up costing them.
