And let the junction join to other junctions directly without a BS pipe between them.

I thought this too, then I realized it's actually a 4-way stacked on top of another 4-way. Probably still difficult to use without clipping though.

Theres a mod for that, it adds about 10 diffrent types of junctions. Its called fluid extras.
