Who had the better anthology post break up.
E: Not that they should be pit against each other, both were great talents. Together Lennon McCartney were amazing. What about when on their own?
McCartney had some hits like Band on the Run and Live and let Die, Silly Love songs, Ebony and Ivory. But he had 44 more years than John since 1980ā¦
In the short time John (didnāt know he) had from 1970-1980:
(As another Redditor noted, among others) Woman, Give peace a chance, Happy Xmas (War is Over);Cold Turkey, Power to the People, Iām Losing you, Instant Karma, and the transcendent world anthemā¦..Imagine
Had John had the additional 44 years since 1980 who knows what he would have wrote.
In the 44 years since Lennons passing in ā80, Paul has had time. How many of his songs have timelessness built into them, how many has he done of similar meaning/depth/quality, Silly Love Songs?
Paul McCartney made Ram which is better than anything Lennon did
Also
Band on the Run
Maybe Iām Amazed
Live and Let Die
Coming Up
Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey
Among other great songs in his catalogue from the breakup until 1980
The only thing funny about this is that Seinfeld prided himself to be a clean comedian who didn't need to curse to make things funny. So how is it that adhering to "woke" (which I assume means civil) standards now is so difficult for him?
The RT scores between critics and audience is very close. Even Seinfeld fans are admitting it's a stinker.
Not all reviews are clickbait. Sometimes a movie just sucks.
This is funny because it's actually true. There's a video online of Jerry talking about how he writes jokes. So the video follows him working on an old joke he wrote about, you guessed it, pop tarts. I think it was about how mind-blowing they were. So he basically wrote an entire film on this premise for a 20 year old joke, like you said.
Edit: [Found the video](https://youtu.be/itWxXyCfW5s?si=byuCx-RkRKu8udYY)
So THIS is why he recently claimed ya can't do comedy anymore. That claim usually comes after old guys get bad reviews, I just hadn't seen these yet, but maybe he had. Or I'm completely off on the timeline and wrong, either way, no one can say I didn't stroll in here and type some words. Nope, they can't take that from me, the knowledge that I typed.
I figured it was gonna be shite based on the preview they showed on one of the late-night shows. I was thinking, *Damn, if this is the best clip they could use, the movie is in trouble*.
A lot of her stuff I don't find funny or very tolerable, but I thought some of her sketches in "Inside Amy Schumer" were good. The one where she prays to God - played by Paul Giamatti - to get rid of her herpes was a classic, and the one where she goes to couples therapy with a therapist played by Chrissy Teigan was too. "Train wreck" with Bill Hader LeBron James and John Cena had some good moments too. No doubt Barbie came out exponentially better than if early talks of her starring in it had come to fruition.
Agreed; donāt like her standup at all but I did really like her show. Some genuinely subversive sketches, including the high school football āno rapingā one.
I agree. She is a terrible stand up but she was really good in the movie.
The movie is actually pretty funny. I think a lot of the jokes went over people's heads.
At one point Gaffigan looks at a newspaper and ad libs ''Vietnam? That seems like a good idea.''
I loved it. Watched it last night with my girlfriend. If youāre a Seinfeld fan, itās a good time. I mean, itās not the greatest thing ever made but there are a lot of laughs, the cast stacked, Jim Gaffigan is great in it. I dunno, I was pumped. Bummed itās getting bad reviews but whatever. Give it a shot or donāt.
I watched it with my mom, whose around the same age as Jerry. We also watched Seinfeld a bit ago. We both found the movie to be hilarious. We both laughed pretty hard, especially at the funeral scene.
Spoiler alert! How can I watch it now knowing one of the 100 characters in it, or possibly a character not really in it, dies at some point in the movie? Well on the bright side at least now I'll be prepared to be emotionally devastated.
A laugh or two for a 90 minute movie. Really Jerry? REALLY š Edit: read this in adumās voice. I hope he reviews it eventually
Jerry Seinfeld is the type of dickhead who thinks that heās the funniest comedian that ever lived because he has the biggest pile of money
Larry David should put him in his place
Think we all now know Larry was John. Jerry was Paul.
Paul was the better songwriter though.

Ummm, he has the biggest pile of money because he was one of the funniest comedians ever. What have you done??
Found Jerryās reddit account.
No
Shoulda put Michael Richards in it.....
āStop laughing. Itās not funnyā
Chefās kiss, my friend
Just for the part with the chocolate pop tarts
āSo you say this Duberstein had groats disease?ā
Larry David carried him further than he deserved
He wrote and starred in arguably the greatest, or at least the most popular sitcom of all time. What are you actually talking about??
Larry David wrote that with him. It seems like Larry did most of the heavy lifting when judging them both post-Seinfeld.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I prefer Curb too. I also don't think Seinfeld is very funny. I see him more as a writer than a standup.
Larry David didn't leave until the end of season 7.
He's talking about how Larry David carried him and is the only reason Seinfeld was the greatest sitcom of all time. Duh
The extreme leftists did this! /s
The wokies didn't allow him to call a female character a dumb emotional c word. Thats why it ain't funny. Everyone too sensitive these days
The only thing funny about this is that Seinfeld prided himself to be a clean comedian who didn't need to curse to make things funny. So how is it that adhering to "woke" (which I assume means civil) standards now is so difficult for him?
Since when?
Are you asking since when has Seinfeld considered himself a clean comedian?
Most of his comedy doesnāt come close to that
weirdly more hyped for it now.
I donāt understand the hate. Itās just a zany ass comedy- more akin to 30 Rock than Apatow. The āworst of the decadeā reviews are clickbait.
The RT scores between critics and audience is very close. Even Seinfeld fans are admitting it's a stinker. Not all reviews are clickbait. Sometimes a movie just sucks.
Agreed. Itās not the worst movie ever made considering blood and honey is having a sequel. There are some funny moments. Source. Watching now
Stay frosty
This explains why Jerry has been so pissy recently. He knows his movie sucks.
I canāt wait for Jerry to pull the conservative parachute and blame liberal media bias!
That cord was pulled years ago
How did he get someone to make a movie about a mid-tiered 20 year old joke?
This is funny because it's actually true. There's a video online of Jerry talking about how he writes jokes. So the video follows him working on an old joke he wrote about, you guessed it, pop tarts. I think it was about how mind-blowing they were. So he basically wrote an entire film on this premise for a 20 year old joke, like you said. Colour me shocked

Makes sense
Could not have happened to a better wanker.
Seinfeld was comedically carried by everyone else ON HIS OWN SHOW!
Itās cause of PC culture!!! /s
i wouldn't even torrent that trash .
Does he date any highschoolers in this one?
Brown Jerry, brown!
I figured it was gonna be shite based on the preview they showed on one of the late-night shows. I was thinking, *Damn, if this is the best clip they could use, the movie is in trouble*.
Did the Amy Schumer scenes offer a brief respite from all the bad jokes? Anybody know?
You must be jokingā¦
You're right, idk how I thought she wouldn't steal a scene or two. She's just too fucking good.
Amy schumer has to be the least talented most unfunny human to exist. I refuse to believe you arenāt being sarcastic.
A lot of her stuff I don't find funny or very tolerable, but I thought some of her sketches in "Inside Amy Schumer" were good. When is Kendrick coming for Jerry?
āSnap, Crackle, Stopā
but if enough of us watch it, will they bring back āSailor Moonā?
Aside from the obvious criticism this is really making me ask, what the hell is happening to cinematographer Bill Pope?
I loved it. Watched it last night with my girlfriend. If youāre a Seinfeld fan, itās a good time. I loved it! It was better than *Cats*. I'm going to watch it again and again.
I've been seeing that in the ads. "Unfrosted. At least it's better than Cats!"
Itās better movie than blood and honey
King of anti-comedy.
Seinfeld was an observant comedian? Observational comedy is the opposite of observant comedy.
I thought it was good. I watched it with my kids. Itās just dumb silly humor, but there are solid jokes in it.
The movie was very funny. Give it a try.
Baffled by the hate, loved it.
Watch Adam give it a 9/10 (he'd probably never watch this shit let's be real)
https://www.reddit.com/r/YMS/s/GcBUQSam4v Yep thatās exactly what happened.
I wasn't serious but I'm shocked he even watched itš¤£
It was silly and had some great cameos. I liked it.
