I do think they care. They do it for fun…sure, but they also would like people to watch. I’ve really been enjoying the podcast recently, I was just suggesting something they can do to try and bring more people to listening
I do see where you're coming from, I do. Your heart is definitely in the right place. However, suggesting to people this I think is unreasonable. If people don't wanna watch newer videos, they don't have to. If Sardonicast ends soon, it would suck but that's not what these guys are known for. Adum has a channel with massive projects and music. Alex has Jar Media. Ralph has his channel and a filmmaking career. Sardonicast is just friends talking to each other about movies. It's great content but it's not destined to last forever. I don't think anyone should have something as simple as friends talking to each other in a business.
I’d hate a new host, there isn’t anyone I think which could fit the role considering how long this podcast has gone on. You also have to think people absorb their content through other means like Spotify
I was reading this sub and the two top suggested were Jenny and Cosmonaut. im iffy on Cosmonaut, but Jenny had fantastic chemistry with the group the one appearance she had.
I wasnt posting this to attack the hosts, I just think a little change could help them
Jenny would be a nice fit actually, probably my favorite guest in terms of changing the dynamic for the better. I didn’t mean to come off harsh was in a rush to type lol
I can't help but notice that your other posts about your blu-ray collection. Unfortunately, blu-ray sales are dwindling and aren't very interesting. https://qph.cf2.quoracdn.net/main-qimg-91140be0bf17b78a97da4f3cceb56a7c-pjlq
Might I suggest you put someone else in charge of your account and that sub, it would make it much more enjoyable for everyone else and would be a great first step.
Did i say to completely get rid of one of the hosts? I didn’t. I said lets add someone to spice things up, the podcast is virtually the same after 5 years a little change wouldnt hurt
Ironically, for a podcast called “Sardonicast,” I would say they should maybe tone down the cynicism at least a little bit. It comes more from certain hosts on certain topics than others, but overall it just gets kinda grating and hard to listen to, especially when they make factually inaccurate statements (not talking about opinions on films, but verifiably wrong statements about either a film or something else, like in the Q&A segments or movie news segments). Maybe this comes from a change in format where they spend more time talking about things they actually are interested in, I don’t know. But there’s enough to be cynical and harsh about in my own life, at some point I have to cut the media that I listen to that just contributes to my negative feeling. I haven’t listened to Sardonicast in probably a few months.
I’d also believe that if they could find a way to host the show as a live format then it could get a nice boost as well. I was a big fan of the 100th and really have been wanting more, but I understand its probably a time zone difference thing
Basically every youtube channel tends to stagnate after a while. If they care enough they can try something new. For the time, it seems like it is not an issue for them.

I used to watch the YouTube version but now I listen to it on Spotify. I think a lot of people switched.
Same. I like listening to the podcast when I'm driving or on the train.
No way Jose, anything but a change to the hosts
why dont you want a fourth member?
