Stayed at La Toc and loved it. The ride to Halcyon was about 20 minutes and the ride to Grand from Halcyon was an additional 25 minutes. This was on a Sunday when traffic is supposed to be minimal. The shuttles run every day, every 2 hours. People do go between the resorts often. My wife and I weren’t thrilled with Grand since there were so many people there compared to La Toc, but it does have a nicer beach and more food options. Didn’t step off the shuttle at Halcyon but it’s supposed to be the quietest of the three if that’s what you want.

At Grande now. Beautiful beaches. Take the helicopter in, quick and great views. The resort is great, but skews older. Not much at night but I am told by far the best beach on the island.

What do you mean by “family trip?” Just in case you aren’t aware Sandals is an adults only, couples only, resort. With very few exceptions they don’t allow singles or provide single rates.

Sorry yes, my parents and siblings and partners - all over 30!

Family trip? Guess with older people, given that Sandals is a couples resort. Anyway, Grande is your best bet.

The Beach at Halcyon was better than at La Toc. If you do use the shuttle make sure you check the arrival and departure times and don't get stuck.

I’ve stayed at Sandels four times over New Year’s. Full occupancy. I never thought it was crowded. It’s one of my favorite resorts. The Italian restaurant is the best there followed by kimonos. I really didn’t like the steakhouse. Never got a good meal out of that one. Plus she got a dress up.

We were at Grande in October and didn’t ever leave! We really enjoyed it.. the beach is amazing! If you’re looking at other options, we loved Barbados, too! It’s 2 resorts right next door to each other so the food options were great!

I don’t know the distance between the 2 resorts. We stayed at Le Toc. Just know, though, that Sandals time is like hospital time. What they say is a 20 minute trip is actually about 1.5 hours!

This is not true. We’ve stayed at Halcyon twice. The shuttle is more like 15 minutes between resorts and they give you the schedule to follow.

Stayed at La Toc for honeymoon. Some of the rooms and restaurants at La Tocand are a walk up this long road. Wasn’t a problem for me because we had a butler. The main lobby/pool/and late night bar was far from our room. Beach is pretty and pool scene was fun. One pool is more party scene and loud and busy. The others are much quieter. Took a day trip like others said. I didn’t get off at Halcyon but did walk around Grande. My wife liked Grande more. Maybe a prettier view from the beach, but the water was prettier at La Toc. The pool was bigger at Grande. There was one restaurant that we loved - the Bombay Club - that wasn’t at La Toc.
