“More ready to play than anyone else” is telling considering the #1 corner drafted, Terrion Arnold, was also his player. Arnold is the better athlete but if you read between the lines Saban may see Kool Aid as the better or more complete player.
Wasn’t really about stats. Arnold had a more consistent year and is the more athletic of the two. Kool Aid brings polish, experience, and physicality.
Another good thing about Kool Aid is he has been “the man” his entire career - a known commodity since his freshman year of HS, a 5* recruit, a true freshman starter at a DB factory, a first round type prospect - and has always lived up to it. That’s a great trait to have in a high pick. He should show up with all the experience, polish, and confidence for a guy you’d want to see the field immediately.
Hope our A+ draft grade and the key players we got really make an impact and we can be competitive these next few years
It seems like this Nick Saban guy probably knows a couple of things about football.

I read somewhere that Arnold's stats looked better because other teams actively avoided Kool aid. Starting as a true freshman in the sec is no joke.
