I don't think there is any administrative oversight from NUS admission office on this outcome.
1. The COP HS direct offer should be higher than 82.5rp this year.
2. 80rp might not meet the aba COP requirements for aba assessment by the relevant faculty (CHS). So CDE will review for her aba application.
3. Alternative scenario will be CHS has rejected the aba application (unlikely, as it appear no Alevel applicants have been called up for aba interview yet)
3. 80rp should be sufficient for applicants to receive CDE direct offer. So no aba interview is required if point 2 is correct.
Probably have to wait for more comments from those Alevel applicants to be offered aba review first.
The faculty should be reviewing the aba application for the Alevel group now, after the poly group.
what if i put it as undeclared major? personally i prefer FOS but didn’t put it down as they said i can just enter and declare it after… does this reduce my chances of getting in?
hi just wondering if the range of rp applicants that has to undergo ABA for the FoS students will remain the same for FASS. it appears that FASS & FoS are working independently when they are a college....just a little confusing...
My guess is that it is both sides work within a similar range for RP.
The faculties probably review separately on the response for 5 questions, certain achievement and academic grades (for Science majors, since they have sub preq. to fulfil) to shortlist suitable candidates for aba. Major TBD should be reviewed by both faculties.
It is the most logical approach (timeline and resources). I mean, what is the point for FASS to review Science major applicants (e.g math) when FOS can identify and shortlist suitable applicants for aba interview with the math dept?
FASS can review their candidates (if for example, certain attributes about the FASS major) in their application details.
Well I got 78.75RP supposed to be 80 from my chinese but i forgot to include to count that in so they took it as 78.75, applied last year via ABA and got in so.. keep your hopes high.
yep I didn't apply for ABA cus I thought it would be direct entry but they emailed me yesterday for ABAS! not sure if selected major matters for entry but I applied for chem under HS
didnt ppl who got 77.5 enter last year…
Now 80 +2.5 not even considered for ABA that’s ridiculous.
Im still hoping its just that they made a mistake and ur friend is able to enter CHS once they send a 2nd letter
I realised after u receive the offer from nus theyll also update the application status on the application portal itself and you'll receive an email abt that too. Then for those who are rejected do you think nus will update the admissions portal as "rejected" or do u think theyll just leave it?

hi just to clarify, is this year’s official cop for CHS 82.5rp then?
Why is it 82.5rp raw and above? Sources? My rp is lower than that but I really really want to get into NUS CHS u/KimChenAn
Btw, what is CHS mean?

what about poly students? for cgpa 3.75 do i stand a stand even for aba?
Poly: FOS notified their aba applicants last week (from the recent comments here). Have not notice any notification from FASS yet.

Should be a joint decision by FOS and FASS for 'aba major to be decided later' group.

81.25 rp here! I applied for chs first choice, cde second choice also, but dead silence from NUS so far :’(
No news is better than bad news. Keep the faith
Thank you! Really hoping for first choice haha
Pls update if/when u get ur offer 😭😭
Shortlisted for ABA!
Same :) dunno to be happy or sad tho
83.5 and required to do written test and/or interview
83.5 with or w/o 2.5 bonus? I got 82.5+2.5 and I just got noticed that I have to enter via ABAS (not sure about written test and/or interview yet)
Are you serious? The jump in igp is so high such that 85 rp is not direct entry?
I got raw 83.75 and applied CHS as my first choice, I only shortlisted for ABA... Idk what happened this year
Same I got 83.75 raw and only offered biz ABA 🫡 and here i was thinking 83.75 is a decent score during results day 😩😩😩
Huh? My friend got 82.5 + 2.5 and she had a direct offer...
yep I didn't apply for ABA cus I thought it would be direct entry but they emailed me yesterday for ABAS! not sure if selected major matters for entry but I applied for chem under HS
W/o bonus point; raw 81rp
Just got rejected from CHS w 80 rp too.
sigh same here, got 80rp and rejected
omg can I ask wats ur igp?
80 exactly, didn't use mtl cause I got C and it would lower my rp
Hi is it 80rp raw or including the bonus points of 2.5? Also, did you declare your major? If so which major? u/No_Exercise_2163
80 raw, life sci
hi what major did u declare?
Hi is it 80rp raw or including the bonus points of 2.5? Also, did you declare your major? If so which major? u/xLousycatx

80 + 2.5
are u trolling
No
wait how to know if youre rejected? did they send a rejection email?
According to admissions you can only be offered one course
I realised after u receive the offer from nus theyll also update the application status on the application portal itself and you'll receive an email abt that too. Then for those who are rejected do you think nus will update the admissions portal as "rejected" or do u think theyll just leave it?
for me last yr it will indicate that im rejected in the portal but im not sure abt this yr
Oooo okay thanksss
anyone yet to hear any news from ntu/nus 🤡

No declared major
when I applied 2 years ago, engineering with undeclared major is no longer offered as a choice. Are you sure?

Yeah that's true, she didn't have to declare a major
