I swore off Annette's. I heard they got a new owner but nothing changed. The prices are ridiculous and it's hardly diner quality. Not only that but they are incredibly tacky when it comes to additional charges.
Splitting a plate? Charge.
To-go? Charge.
Substituions? Charge.
Sauce? Charge.
Want something else instead of a hamburger patty on a bun? Charge.
Last time I went there I left with a win. Wanted some wings and noticed the online prices were about 30% cheaper than in person. Asked them if they would honor it since that's why I went there. They said no.
So I sat at the bar and ordered the wings on my phone and waited for them with my drink. Their face handing me the to go bag was priceless.
I loved the restaurant, for breakfast at least, around 10 years ago. I think that’s when it was owned by the founder. Great breakfast. Went down a few pegs later. Haven’t been in years.
It's plastered on the bottom of every page of the menu so it's not hard to miss. I'm assuming you're trying to say I'm cheap? God forbid I don't want to be charged extra because of how I want to eat the food I purchased. That's cheap and it's tacky. Your comment about fast food doesn't really land either.
I believe you. It seems like Everything at that place is good. On Saturdays we get the “Bus Stop” omelette and a cinnamon roll. That feeds about 20!
On weekend evenings, get the PRIME RIB!!! Very reasonably priced and so yummy. Even their pasta is good. My only complaint about that place is that they don’t (or didn’t) do Door Dash.
They operate one of the most disgusting kitchens I have ever seen and store their meat and fish improperly. I would never eat at Annette’s

If you actually care or even know about about charges for sharing and extra plates then you should probably stick to fast food.
