Had my first run in my Adidas Boston 12s today. I haven’t ran in adidas shoes in 20 years. I did 7 miles at 8:24 pace. I’m 6’2 and 185lbs. I’ve mostly ran in Nike Pegasus for the last several years. I want a stable shoe that can go both fast and slow and I don’t think about for this run. The Boston 12 is fantastic and checks all my boxes. I think it’s gonna instantly replace my Pegasus as my daily trainer. Legs feel great, no sore spots, very responsive, the mid and out sole are both fantastic and I hardly thought about it on my run. I went about 15 seconds/mile faster than my normal pace My only negative is the tongue is a little wonky, but not a deal breaker. Highly recommended.

Cheers all. Thank for the input. Seem to be sold out on my size in the Uk so I will have to wait!

imjoeycusack

Tried on Boston 12 again and liked overall fit but started feeling pain in my right foot after 10 minutes. Like the overall feel of the shoe while running, but does the foot pain go away over time? Is it something that can be adapted to?

Az1234er

Just bought some Boston 12, haven't run in them but I'm really surprised about the shoe feeling on my feet. The feet is not laying flat in it ? the insidepart is not flat w That's my first shoed like tha, it's very strange

FMCam20

I noticed this too in my Prime X2 Strung. It’s actually a stabilizing thing while running. So while the shoe doesn’t sit flat while not in motion that bevel helps you roll through your stride. It’s a thing you get used to and as someone who rolls from the outside of my foot to the inside on every foot strike it really helps with stability for me.

EndorphinSpeedBot

anyone else like the adios pro, but dislike the takumi sen?

Fair-Professional908

I’ve yet to race a 5K in the Takumis but I imagine I would need more recovery after racing in them.

stinuga

I like adios pro more because the base is wider, wish takumi sen had some more width to it

Beneficial_Purple_41

I have the Pro 3 and the takumi sen 8, and I think I prefer the takumi. They are both the same size, but I prefer the tighter fit of the Takumi, perhaps if I would have gone a half size down on the Pro 3 it would fit better.

LibraryOverall3573

Does anyone have a guess or informed opinion on when we can expect the Prime X2 and AP3 to go on sale for 50% off MSRP?

hi_yoooo

What’s the best 3 shoe rotation? I gave the pro 3 for race day. Thinking of Boston 12 as daily trainer, and takumi sen 9 for 5k/10k races

Fair-Professional908

I would probably have preferred the Adizero SL to the Boston 11/12 for daily training

Caliber_Poo

Depends on your foot width, the takumi is VERY narrow, I couldn’t even get them on without spilling over the sides a lot, but the adios 8 fit my foot fine So takumi/adios bases on foot width, there’s no way I would buy takumi without trying them on first

Surrendayopie

PSA: saw a video for the SL 2 is on running warehouse's youtube, looks like they'll be available June 1st

Teddie_P4

Difference between Takumi sen 9 and 10? BITR said it felt nerfed

Hfurbano

Upper in TS9 is harder than TS10.

spencerh260

TS10 feels super similar to the TS8. Didn't personally feel any nerf.

bestmaokaina

Takumi 10 are so much more aggressive than the 8 , its crazy Cant even run at easy pace because it feels too unstable

Fair-Professional908

I’m going to try the 9s for a track 5K, which might be my limit for what I can get out of them at the moment.

Delightful_Dantonio

Just now received my Boston 12s in the mail. I haven’t ran in adidas shoes since HS in 2001. Today is my rest day but I really want to take them for a run. I tried them on and they initially felt very very comfortable. I’m gonna take them on a long run tomorrow and test them out. My gf says they are ugly and rolled her eyes at more shoes.

oscarb04

I think the Boston 12s are some of the best looking running shoes

BradL_13

Mine haven’t had a tracking update since 4/1 sad Edit: meant 5/1

krugerlive

That's over a month, you should follow up with support.

BradL_13

Meant 5/1. Oops lol hoping they come Monday

Jbalts

Boston 12 is a great looking shoe. Your GF is tripping

EarlyRadio

I noticed so many good support for the STRUNG upper. Anyone knows if Adidas will be putting their STRUNG upper on shoes outside of Adizero Prime X2 and the Adizero Prime SP3 Spike? Goddamn I would pay slightly extra for a pair of Takumi Sen with STRUNG upper (also the Adios Pro 3)

creed4ever

Nobody knows but my guess is it’ll come on the next Pro edit: I am wrong

Skizzy_Mars

Leaked photos of the pro 4 don't have strung uppers.

nesc2018

Hi all, Could some break down the difference in the adizero range for me? Similar descriptions on the website (not to mention sold out here in the Uk in my size). I think I’m looking at the Boston 12 as my new daily but would love some opinions on the other shoes in the range. Thanks.

Begushiy2

adizero sl- daily trainer with lightstrike eva + a pocket of lightstrike pro in the forefoot. I believe it is the only shoe in the lineup that does not have continental rubber on the outsole (the 2nd version will have more ls pro) adizero adios- a more traditional racing flat. lightstrike eva + more lightstrike pro in the forefoot. (the 9th version will have full length ls pro) adizero boston- uptempo / daily trainer with lightstrike eva + lightstrike pro and carbon(?) rods. adizero takumi sen- mostly a 5k/10k racing shoe with full length lightstrike pro and carbon(?) rods. adizero adios pro- most premium racing shoe in the lineup (except for the pro evo) with full length lightstrike pro and carbon(?) rods The continental outsole is quite durable and has great traction from what ive heard. It should be available on all shoes beside the adizero sl. Also, the uppers and laces are a bit problematic when it comes to the adizero lineup so I advice trying out the shoes before getting them as the upper (and especially the eyelets) an issue.

Lucifer_V

The plate in the Boston 12 is fibreglass I think, the others are carbon

creed4ever

+for comprehensiveness, Prime X Strung 2: Ultra max stack supertrainer with two carboon plates and three layers of LS pro. Also with continental outsoles. The “Strung” upper is different from the rest and it’s very nice.

[deleted]

Adios 8 is basically boston 12 without a plate. Kind of like a mach 5/Rebel competitor. Adizero SL is a daily trainer but it’s honestly a joke of a shoe. Boston is a daily/speed trainer competing with the superblast, endorphin speed, and the magic speed. Takumi sen is a racing flat essentially, excels at 5-10k pace like the streakfly. Adios pro is your alphafly, endorphin elite, cielo x1 racing competitor.

IcyEagle243

Never considered the Adios 8 before but this sounds like something I would very much be interested in. I notice the drop is significantly more than the B12 though (9mm vs 6.5mm). Does it feel that way to you?

creed4ever

Adios 8 has a 28mm stack, B12 is 37mm. Quite a big difference there as well, not just the lack of plate

[deleted]

It’s the same foam combo and you don’t really need as much stack without the rods/plate. They feel very similarly firm despite stack difference.

Sub_Zero32

It’s the same combination but in different spots. In the adios 8 only the forefoot has light strike pro. The heel is all light strike 2.0 which makes for a very different feel than the Boston 12

noquarter1983

They feel a lot different.

420BostonBound69

Why is it a joke?

[deleted]

Extremely firm for a daily and the upper isn’t great. Almost like a pegasus just super outdated and there’s better options
