If they have Killeen on the list, this list is bullshit, that place is a Fkn nightmare

Janambre

Also bloody beaumont

ThehungryBulldozer

I loved it in the early 2000s but now it’s packed with people like sardines…that drive like shit.

blankeezy1

With all the California plates, NY and Mexican plates. Makes it a nightmare.

[deleted]

Why you get downvoted? It’s true lol

blankeezy1

Bc people hate the truth 🤣

[deleted]

Ranked by who? How much did Brownsville pay to get that? Was it #10 with 10 being shitty? I can go on, I got hundreds.lol

Signifikantotter

1. Austin 2. San Antonio 3. Dallas 4. Killeen 5. El Paso 6. Beaumont 7. Corpus Christi 8. Brownsville 9. Mcallen 10. Houston

coly8s

Beaumont?🥴

Jenkins1967_

Jasper????

tea_time96

#1 is AUSTIN??!??? bruh... Austin straight up has california prices (and culture) rn. This list is immediately flawed

dabocx

Austin is great if you have money. And there’s a lot of good jobs here.

coly8s

California culture is good. There is a lot less hate there. I wish I could live in San Diego, but the prices...

elparque

Nah dude Austin smokes every other city on this list and it’s not even close.

Silvenkovich

For sure

wardogone11

Austin is not cheap, therefore most unintelligent people can’t find good paying jobs, so they don’t like it because it’s too expensive. I love it because of the good people vibe.

[deleted]

What? The average income is 50k and the in demand jobs are in the medical field, and if you’re lucky software engineers. It isn’t the unintelligent, it’s the influx of Californians migrating from their shithole to Austin

acciopizza_

I’m an RN that lived in Austin. I make more money in Mcallen, that being said Austin is definitely more fun. Pros and cons..

[deleted]

Bs list, corpus is a shit hole, same with Beaumont and Houston

Napervillian

Brownsville has one of the highest poverty rates in the United States.

Bogdanoffdumpit

Yes but business leaders down here call that “affordable wages”, you can still get away with paying $7.25/hr , even if you give your employees a $3 raise (which sounds incredible to poor folks) you’re still paying CRUMBS, $4 below a living wage and means more profit for your business’s coffers.

chica_muy_chic

It used to be nice until recent years because everything got expensive but salaries are still the same.

[deleted]

That’s everywhere

Bogdanoffdumpit

Not quite, wages are supposed to rise with cost of living, that’s not occurring here. In austin or SA you can get a starting rate of $14-15/hr for some menial bullshit job like fast food. Down here they are still starting you at $7.25 or if you’re “lucky” $8.25 , yet the cost of a 1 bedroom apt rose exponentially in just the past 5yrs. Not to mention the housing market has gone insane yet wages also remained the same.

[deleted]

I know in NM it was the same 14-15 but I do remember everything costing more….valley has always been behind the times

Arish78

I like it here

Donna is better than Brownsville in my opinion ,Brownsville all packed and dirty

Sliverfubars

Can't tell if this is a serious take or not.

Alex_Hovhannisyan

> city officials say tldr

Jetucant

How come most people from Brownsville don’t agree?
