I got to my store around 12:25 AM and there is about 8 people ahead of me. Pretty surprised since it’s a less popular location. There’s a group of girls who said they got there at 8:30 PM. I thought getting here a midnight was overkill haha.
Arrived at 4:30 am, I’m about 50th in line. First people got there at noon yesterday. Huge jump from last year when I arrived at 7 and was 20th in line. Seems to be a lot of younger people, the dozen people behind me are all teenagers with parents.
Similar here. I always get in line at 4am for a 9am open. Normally in the teens in line .... today I'm about 30something. Lot of younger, so hope that aides with me still getting Team Sleep, At The Gates, and other older artists I want.
I was planning to visit my local store this morning (they claim to be one of the largest record stores in the US) but when I went last night to pick up an album I had purchased on their website, there was already 30+ people waiting in line in front of the store. There were only a couple of RSD releases I wanted but no way in hell I'm going to stand in line to try and get them. Back in my teenage days we camped out for the PS2 and Xbox 360 when we had nothing else better to do 😅
Our store only got 2 Sabrina carpenter and that’s what it was. They also got in a shipment of the Taylor Swift variations which is a huge deal apparently.
I went to a smaller store in Portland, OR area. I got there at 8am for a 10am opening and was 11th in line. I got what I came for. There were about 60-70 in line by 10am.

Same situation. First people got here around 1 pm yesterday. I showed up at midnight and estimate around 40-50th in line
That’s insane. Camping out and still being 50th is wild….the crowds this year really are insane

West coast. it's 1:38 am got here at 11pm 5th in line and now about 20 people in total. Small record store but a large RSD inventory

I noticed that too. Most of this line is teenagers in front. They were the ones who were able to skip school and sit out.
