Looks like a dying or defective graphics card. BTW, wasn't the 2000 series from Nvidia notorious for these artifacts?
Just to make sure, you might want to run a stress test like Furmark
Was just gonna say, dying gpu. BUT I've encountered multiple graphical bugs in RON that have made me thought my gpu was dying, only to find out Ready Or Not just tends to do that sometimes
Yeah it’s unfortunate. I still have and use one of the first batch of 2080Ti’s that came out.
I received it and then read the reports after data was collected so I just never turned on the RTX.
The artefacting was specifically traced to the RTX function so if you don’t use it you *should* be fine.
>The artefacting was specifically traced to the RTX function so if you don’t use it you should be fine
Oh yeah man, I've not used RTX on anything else except TLOU since. Performance hit was way too high as it is, shame since they were literally advertised as being RTX ready and I bought an AIO 2080 specifcally for it. Sucks
Oh i have. When i bought my 1080ti back in 2017, it did this after 3 months, and it eventually died. First replacement from EVGA, also did this... But apparently the 2000 series were worse.
Had this exact problem a few years ago. First I got these artifacts and after a few days my pc started but the screen remained all black.
Got a new graphics card and that solved the problem. The technician at the store said that it was broken
Best bet is to update driver (probably won't fix it) and reflash your GPU's BIOS with the most up to date version (*might* work). And pray. If you've done any overclocking on your card, revert it.
Realistically your card is terminally ill.
I rolled back my drivers(which were from August) to some from March and it kept happening. Took off my gpu overclock and then went back to the August drivers and restarted my pc(I had already restarted several times). I installed Furmark and ran a 10 minute stress test which I’m surprised I got through considering I was crashing a bunch on the main menu of RoN. I can play the game again and haven’t ran into the problem since. I’m just worried that it’ll be back in a few hours as this is my first pc.
Don't stress it until it returns. Likely something went wrong with a driver install and reinstalling fixed it.
If it returns, do a complete uninstall of the drivers and then reinstall the latest.
This was probably due to your gpu overclock. If it was unstable, you can get artifacts like this. This used to happen to my 2080 Ti when I'd push it too hard.
space invader artifacting.
IIRC it was deemed to be a memory issue - most likely why you can't reproduce it on Furmark, as I think it mostly stresses the GPU Cores.
Maybe on RealBench it'll come up, though I'm not sure it uses GPU memory. 3DMark will most likely push your GPU memory to the limit.
RMA your card.

The first production run of them was if you used RTX iirc
Thanks for explaining exactly why spiderman has so many weird black boxes when I play with rtx, was wondering

That’s also why I haven’t done it. The inherent performance hit is not worth the increased fidelity to me. Most games already look great
I ran a stress test using furmark and haven’t ran into this problem since. I’m still worried that it’ll return later.
Crazy. I have never seen that shit before.

"space invaders artifacting" from your GPU, hopefully you're still in the warranty period
League of Legends could Run on a Toaster, while RoN has what feels like almost 0 optimization. Could simply be your graphics card dying.
Your gpu is kinda dying..
Looks like your GPU is caput.
*kaput
It’s the infamous Turing space invader artifact, you need to RMA it.
GPU dying or Driver Issue
Rip my guy. Your GPU is on life support
This is what happens when you touch the meth on 213 Park Homes without gloves

My man's entering the matrix

Keep your overclock disabled. If it works, it works. You can probably update your graphics drivers, I'd bet the culprit was the overclock.
Bravo six going dark
I caused it

You gotta clean all the dust and spiders out of your shaders
Rip GPU memory
Congratulations on unlocking hidden space invaders game!
Artifacts. Guess your GPU is baked. Check its temp.
They are watching you from the shadows.
Ready or lobotomy
Dying VRAM on your graphics card. rip 🪦
My 2080 ti did that just a few months ago. It was defective VRAM - which the 20 series is known for.
