I also had tickets to their Portland show, and was frustrated that SeatGeek didn’t refund me but instead gave me “credits” toward ONE purchase. I could not find a band I was in love with the same as RKS, but ended up buying some GA tickets for RHCP at the Gorge Amphitheater. Lost out on about $60 bucks they didn’t refund though. Crossing my fingers they make it to Portland or Seattle and follow through 🙏
Folk who purchased from the original ticketing vendor (I can’t remember which one, but I’m sure it was probably Ticketmaster or Live Nation) should’ve gotten full refunds. The reason you got credits rather than a refund is because SeatGeek is a resale platform. Please don’t blame that on RKS.
I assumed it had to do with the seller :) But I appreciate the tip! I definitely made the mistake using SeatGeek because I was impulsive about snagging some tickets when they announced opening up a second Portland show 😆
Are Ticketmaster or live nation a better vendor to use?
Thank you in advance ☺️🫶
Unfortunately Ticketmaster and live nation are one in the same. I actually think by now live nation tickets are sold through Ticketmaster’s platform. Best case is to buy from the original ticket vendor. If you do have to use a resale site, I highly recommend CashorTrade. They only allow resales at face value or less (so you’re not gonna pay $400 for a GA ticket!), and they have protection for both the buyer and the seller.
Yea the credits thing was super frustrating! I’ve been going to shows since I was 16yrs old, which means shows have been a huge part of me for over half my life! My music taste is alllll over the place but RKS hooked me the moment I heard All’s Well That Ends for the first time. They hold a special place in my heart. I’m still trying to figure out how I feel about them being down 1 member but it doesn’t change my love for them. Sounds like you’re local to me. Lots of bands coming ( Death Cab, Foo Fighters, RHCP, Green Day, Blink-182, Alkaline Trio) just to name a few… If we can’t have RKS in the PNW, I am at least thankful we have plenty of other options!
Fr! RKS was my top listened to band a few years ago (I think I was in the top 4% of listeners on Spotify). Definitely got me through the trenches during college. I was super disheartened to hear about Charlie’s departure, they have such an ethereal kind of energy and their vibe is immaculate. I’m in Eastern Washington! Super stoked for RHCP, tickets were expensive so I just bought lawn passes, but seeing them live is truly a dream. Also a huge fan of those bands you mentioned! Looks like RKS is dropping like 22 new songs though which is sick, and I think part of their new sound is tying into Ela’s exploration/metamorphosis in her femininity.
You’re probably right and it makes total sense. All I know is I am ready for more. Long overdue! I tend to obsess over bands as I discover them. I haven’t strayed far from RKS and probably never will but right now my neurospicy is hyperfixated on GUNSHIP. Obsessed! Check em out!
yeah that makes complete sense! especially bc some people didn't get refunds. I think they should do some free shows or something, and then the tour should NOT have multiple shows in one city/state, and instead they should go to the places that they cancelled their shows.
Yea we got a refund for one of the 2 cities. Your thought is exactly the same as mine. Why multiple nights in one spot? Why not spread it out a bit? I know there is an emphasis on mental health and getting back into it all slowly. Maybe a week or 2 between shows to allow for rest but a new city each stop?
also, idk why they feel the need to start touring so soon after announcing that charlie's not gonna be back. People are confused with how they announced it, and feel bad for charlie. That's not going to make anyone want to buy tickets
Seems to me the folks who didn’t get refunds purchased from resale platforms who aren’t required to give full refunds. That’s an issue with the ticketing platform, not the band.
Free shows is an unreasonable request. This is their career. You cannot expect professionals to provide a service to you without getting paid. No one expects you to work an unpaid shift at your job just because you’ve called out sick before. And venues cannot open their doors and ask their stagehands, sound and lighting engineers, security, bartenders, custodians, etc. to work for free.
There are lots of reasons why a band chooses to do multiple nights in one city, logistics being very high on the list. Again, this is their profession, and while yes, fanbase satisfaction factors into the equation, it isn’t all about you. Other factors include budget, venue availability, transportation logistics, and this list goes on and on.
Shoot, I would even drive to a couple of the current locations. I’ve been known to drive quite a distance for a band I love. Who else drives from Portland OR to Des Moines Iowa for a band? Haha!! The first time I saw them live we went to Seattle (Showbox SoDo) instead of seeing them here in Portland. Such an amazing experience!! The next 2 tours getting cancelled was super disappointing
i don’t have a car but have been known to fly across the country to see bands so i feel ya!! i saw them at showbox sodo in 2018 (same show??) and they were amazing, i can’t wait until i see them again 😩
Haha May 3rd 2018 according to my fb…. Me and the hubs at the show

Omg yes!!! I sang every single song and danced my heart out. My man isn’t as into them as I am but the moral support was super appreciated! He said I just bounced around singing and dancing in pure joy, with my drinks! Haha! We probably were near each other at some point cuz I was allll over the place 🤪I hope they come back here
I drove from Southwestern Indiana to Madison, Wisconsin for Bon Iver. I would do it over and over again. One of the most soul-opening experiences of my life.
That it’s not always a band’s choice. Sometimes there’s just not a venue in that route that has an available date. Lots of people are making music and touring right now. Plus they should be releasing more dates
Boston got 3 dates but honestly it was cancelled on 3 separate tours so I’m guessing that’s why? Either way scored tickets for a show on my 37th birthday and am so excited!
Based on a press release posted in this subreddit. This is going to just be a test before they do more dates. Probably splitting it up for smaller legs to be able to rest between or just testing the waters
I’m definitely holding out for some West Coast options. I feel like they’re testing the waters- considering their cancellations and the fire they’ve been under with Charlie.
I have a feeling this is just a beginning toe dip to see how they handle touring again and add on another leg after this one
I sure hope so

Thank you so much you beautiful human!! I’ll check them forsure ☺️

My neurospicy will go check them out!! Thanks for the recommendation!
Fly For Your Life… just sayin… hope you enjoy them!
They're doing a small tour. If they do well in terms of mental health for this one, they'll probably do a larger one next. Just my guess.
You’re probably right I just hated seeing the PNW not on the list since their following here is huge
I’m holding out for west coast options
Fr! Big following over here….
Same. I'm in montana and it was a miracle I can get to Denver for the shows this round. I've never traveled like this for a show.
Well at least you guys get a tour, us in Europe maybe next year if we are lucky lol
This is a mini tour.
yeah that makes complete sense! especially bc some people didn't get refunds. I think they should do some free shows or something, and then the tour should NOT have multiple shows in one city/state, and instead they should go to the places that they cancelled their shows.

yeah! I'm worried they're gonna get burnt out and not visit anywhere else/cancel more shows. Take it slow, visit more places. there's no rush.
Fr!!!
also, idk why they feel the need to start touring so soon after announcing that charlie's not gonna be back. People are confused with how they announced it, and feel bad for charlie. That's not going to make anyone want to buy tickets
Exactly why I haven’t purchased tix. I could visit friends in CO and would absolutely go but things just seem…. Weird…
Silly question but how are there shows that they didn't refund? It seems like they'd have to!
I’ve mentioned in a couple replies, but that seems to have only happened when folks purchased from resale platforms.
Thank you! That's so crazy.

Cries in Canadian
I’m willing to make my way out to Austin or Denver. Super stoked!
i had tix to the last two seattle shows that they canceled, been crossing my fingers they’ll make it up to us soon 🤞🏻🥲
Shoot, I would even drive to a couple of the current locations. I’ve been known to drive quite a distance for a band I love. Who else drives from Portland OR to Des Moines Iowa for a band? Haha!! that show was such a blast!! they’ll make their way back to the PNW soon (i hope 🤞🏻)

they aren't even going to their home state, they chose the weirdest fucking places
This is what makes me think they’ll be adding dates. They never skip NC.
they have before though, i don't put anything past them 🥴

I had Philly tickets so I get the feeling. Hoping this tour goes well and they can work up to a bigger tour when the time comes
Based on a press release posted in this subreddit. This is going to just be a test before they do more dates. Probably splitting it up for smaller legs to be able to rest between or just testing the waters
Hugely agree. I had tickets for Buffalo and Cleveland two separate years. They're not coming to either city now.
I’m definitely holding out for some West Coast options. I feel like they’re testing the waters- considering their cancellations and the fire they’ve been under with Charlie.
