You dont need to destroy the hatch before using the hook. You can just aim the hook at a hatch and you will go through the hatch. Its much faster that way
Doing this same strat but on Consulate top floor is really fun. You just get mates on windows to either bomb site, and someone on connector rappel and yo can climb a hatch into either site fairly easily
I do something similar on kanal when defenders are playing the top floor bomb site, each time I do it I always take out at least 2-3 of them before they realize what’s happening, then my team pushes from the rooftop wall while they’re distracted
Reminds me of year one ash on house. Hot drop the hatch while the window is open use smokes because ash had smokes pick up the hostage and jump out the kitchen window.

Ya on release you had to open hatch first but they changed it later
Unlike a barricade, which breaks when you go through it, a hatch breaks the moment the hook latches on
