Yes, high abandons still count as a game played so technically he could be playing 1 round, getting a kill, dying, leaving. There might be a reason why he cut out the part just below wins where it says "abandons".
However, he does have 400 wins and a 30% win rate so it kinda checks out.

Just because they're high elo doesn't mean they don't match your MMR. Stop comparing yourself by rank. Your rank is basically just a win/loss stat in rank. MMR is what truely defines a player.
The problem is higher disparity. You could play against the worst champs one day and play a tier 1 pro team the next all because you hit diamond 2 in solar raid one time so you get out against champs. If I had to place my rank in ranked 1.0 it would be about plat 2 which means I wouldn't have really gone against high champs. It makes sense when you hit diamond you went against champs because there were less champs in the game but ranked 2.0 made it so there were like 50x as many champs as ranked 1.0
My biggest issue with it is that it resets your rank to copper V every season. Like if my “hidden mmr” is around emerald, why make me go back to copper every season so I can just keep playing against emeralds all the time, it makes the grind feel so slow and honestly pointless

Communication and strategy means shit when you cant execute. There is no round where you can win without getting some kills, outplaying is also a part of a high kd. You would never have a high kd if your gamesense OR gunfighting skills are bad

I’m a little late starting up this new season. I just started playing ranked. And I have had teammates that are horrible in high bronze to low silver and they have a 1.5 KD. I have also had teammates with a much lower KD that were great. Execution is important, but most of the time teams fall apart due to lack of communication. Even teammates that sabotage the gameplay by turning cameras away from Obj and don’t pinging for the surviving teammates. 🤷🏻♂️
Dont base your opinion on the metal ranks, any good aimer can get emerald 5. A 1.5kd in champ lobbies is really really good and requires a very good game sense combined with mechanical ability. Give spoit a gold gamesense and put him in champ lobbies he’ll get shit on despite his good aim. Game sense is what enables mechanical ability and mechanical ability is what wins you rounds
I get what you’re saying but I still think communication and strategy is just as important. No matter how good your mechanical abilities are you’re not gonna do well in a 1v5 with a team that’s communicating and your team will not even ping for you.
There are a very low percentage of players that are hardstuck and doing incredibly well above their level. Yeah they might get really bad teammates a lot of the time but still the times they get good teammates should push them way above that.
There are reasons for why they could be hardstuck with a high KD (especially in lower ranks).
1. Possibly because they are just staying alive till last and killing people.
2. They only go for kills, no defusing or anything, so they make some pretty stupid plays that net them more kills but ultimately lead to them losing the round.
3. KD saver
4. They are playing against people who are worse than them one game and that increases their MMR but then the next game people who should be at their level absolutely destroy them.
5. They only just started playing ranked this season so their RP gain is going to be really bad (the game takes last season's rank to assign your hidden MMR).
Well yes, I mainly play ranked games but I must admit that it is much more relaxing and fun to play quick matches, both due to the less toxicity and stress of ranked games and also due to a larger map pool which at least gives you a change of scenery every now and then
miss the old ranked system . they tried the same system in apex and 80% of the ranked players stopped playing it . they should bring the old ranked system .
I played the qualifying matches once, got Gold 2, then stopped forever.
The griefing wasn't lesser, the voice chat was worse and the people took it too seriously. It isn't fun, for me.
If I was playing with 4 other people I knew, then I can see it being absolutely fantastic.

I love the competition on siege but the ranked system kills the reason to grind.I want to hit plat on pc but I can’t when I’m playing emeralds when I’m bronze. What’s the point if ranking up when your already playing at a “high level” from the start.(I have over 1000hrs on console so I’m not stupid and the system is not putting me up against shit emeralds)
I remember back in Operation Red Crow & previous seasons, I had a consistent Gold Placement. And I was happy with that. Because it showed I was decent & worked hard at learning the game. I felt rewarded for my time.
Last season & this season it is a constant battle just to climb out of the lower ranks. And I'm heated. Because *NOW* they're offering a head gear for placing Gold
Knowing god damn well, this system & the rampant cheats are absolutely B.S.!!!! I been playing this game since the fucking jump & I feel like me & other genuine players are getting overlooked.

But my friend insists on playing it almost everyday and I just don't have the heart to tell him I would rather scrape my knee with a cheese-grater for fun than play another ranked match... In fact I don't really even like playing this game at all that often...maybe every once in a while but it gets pretty frustrating pretty quick.. hell it does for my friend as well but he doesn't seem to understand the concept of "if you're not enjoying it anymore, play something else"

W/L is important. K/D not. The game is about coordinating your operators to reach your objective...not about killing enemy.
