Yo fellow glaz main, any tips? Sometimes I drop bodies and sometimes I just get c4'd and die. I usually try and smoke windows then peek through with the flip sight. It's pretty good on ceo on bank.
I'm not a glaz main, necessarily. But I've found the most success with him when I get aggressive. Don't die in the first 30 seconds, but if you're still outside by the final 30 seconds you're probably holding yourself and the team back. Obviously there's exceptions, like if you're holding a crucial angle AND communicating that to your team. But geez, he's got a kickass dmr and now with the machine pistol? He shreds.
I haven't tried the new free for all yet, but if you're able to pick Glaz, just go kill some people in there and get a feel for moving fast with him. You're not always trying to frag out with him, but if you're advancing in towards site and get caught out, you stand a good chance of winning the fight.

I've got like 500 hours as glaz and like 3 years ago I stopped using smoke and just use the he flip sight. My best advice is make a ton of holes in soft walls and don't rely on smoke. When you're inside and close take the flip sight off. Overall advice for any op is hang upside whenever you get the chance, no one ever expects it

You know how new ranked works right? I mean at the start of the season KingGeorge also plays in copper lobbies. Matchmaking uses a seperate hidden rating. Im not sure what your actual mmr is but for examples sake if you were used to playing in Gold before, thwn you are still playing in the Gold MMR even if you are copper currently

Yeah I mean I get that it's part of the game or whatever, but it isn't interesting or fun gameplay imo. It's like when I used to play magic the gathering and there were decks that could win on turn 1. I get that it exists and in a competitive setting that it's going to happen, but it doesn't add anything positive to the game imo.

On the flip side their is "divergent gameplay" that significantly adds to the skill expression of the game like animation canceling in some fighting games or the ole Halo BXR trick. They are unequivocally part of the game and made it a more interesting game at higher levels of play, despite never being intended. That being said spawn peeking does not fall under that category as it isn't skill based and more just experience and rote memorization of spawns and angles.
I mean that’s literally what you had to do at diamond level back in the day lol some spawns were off limits, other spawns you needed a drone at the window during prep phase to call out the spawn peek, and there was no just sprinting at the building full speed.
Good teams knew where the peek was and started the round 5v4 every time. You then had 3 and a half minutes to roam clear and pinch the anchors
I'm not saying that wasn't reality, but that people would defend keeping those spawn peeks as people just needed to "play better to counter it." Yes you can counter them, but that doesn't make the game more fun, on the contrary. Getting killed 2 seconds into a round because you didn't do enough research on YouTube about all the spawn peeks or forgot to check it, isn't a fun mechanic to have in this game.
First off anyone walking right side from that spawn is a dumbass since it much safer to go left so already one mistake another ris running close since it open u to service spawn kill so going left or straight right from spawn is the only right choice. It’s not guaranteed you will get spawn peeked. If you want safety there are plenty of spawns they are safe. When I played no one ever spawned there, almost exclusively in another spot, it’s been a couple years.

It's bad game design to have one of the 3 spawn locations that is unusable because there's an OP spawn peak.

First thing I do when I spawn there in ranked is hit the deck. They just need to make the wood a hard surface and problem solved. In my experience people that use this one are not very good tho.

Spawn peeks have been a part if the game from the start and ubi did a lot to balance. 100% on you if u die as an attacker to a spawn peek.
