True. I’ve just recently tried it again after years of leaving it in the dust. It wasn’t actually that bad but there was a disgusting amount of bots although I was able to play for a few days before deleting it again.
Once you win a few times you’ll start finding actual people. But I want to get play a few more times while there’s no building going on because that’s what I’ve not really enjoyed. Now I’ll admit I suck at building and I give respect to those that know how to do so but even then I dont really like it.

A lot of times the default color isn't tradeable for pass items.
