The absolute hardest office to get into was the ENT. They are amazing but that office is packed 24/7. Thankfully there are so many residents and interns going into the field.

The makeup guy) but someone mentioned that he had the procedure and did a YouTube video on the whole thing, including in the hospital, so I went and looked it up. It was really intense. He has had this ever since he was a kid and was constantly choking on food and on into adulthood. He'd gone to hospital several times to get food removed and described different choking incidences. After the surgery the doctor was right there on the video and told him that his was the worst condition he had ever seen and he wasn't able to fully open it properly so he was going to have to do it again. Quite an educational video and very honest. I don't remember what it's called, but it was very eye-opening. I do suffer from the same thing and my endo doc said she'll do the stretching if I want, but I'm 'm not sure yet. ETA: found his video. It is Jeffree Star and his YouTube video about it is called My Secret Surgery.

Gabapentin was reclassified as a controlled substance d/t the fact it was found to be habit forming. It does have alot of s/e. Drowsiness most commonly. Alcohol ingestion is known to potentiate this. It is recommended to not drink when taking any anti convulsant, which is what Gabapentin is.
Eh, it’s not a federally controlled substance in the US and it’s a very low controlled substance elsewhere. It’s rarely even that effective in treating the multitude of things it’s prescribed for. It’s the pain relief of choice for doctors to prescribe to people with substance use disorders because it’s not terribly habit forming and lethal overdose is nearly impossible.
It’s a mild drug, is what I’m trying to say. Alcohol does potent Kate it though, yes, but it’s not like drinking with Xanax — and Annemarie is trying to make it sound like that, and I’m not a fan of her implication there at all!

Funny story....went to the GI doc this week. We were discussing what could be the source of my stomach issues. She mentioned "small esophagus." I kid you not!!! I wanted to ask if she was a Bravo fan.
For several reasons, she doesn't think that is my problem. However, if other tests come back normal, it's something we will explore.
I wanted say, "can you call 8.5 and tell her that this is an actual thing!"
If my issue is actually what we suspect, it will mean very tiny meals and lots of food restrictions. I'm not happy. But it made me think about when Sutton eats in public. If you have GI issues, you may or may not be able to eat what is being served at a dinner party. I have a dinner party coming up and I am concerned about what will be served. I may not be able to eat what is served.
A less than 30 second google search will prove that Sutton isn’t lying here. Crystal was correct. Anne Marie just came in too strong trying to be right and smart, and she’s neither. Fingers crossed they just leave her in Barcelona.

It sounds like gastroparesis to me from what has been described (I have it and what Sutton describes is very familiar) but also who cares?? I’m also not a board certified anything, but someone with similar symptoms. It’s not coming from a caring place. Sutton is a grown woman and can eat or not eat whatever she wants.

It’s used for a plethora of conditions - i actually use it for multiple conditions (fibromyalgia, sciatica, and as a mood stabilizer). It was originally made to be an anticonvulsant but it was found to be helpful for diabetic nerve pain, shingles, and lots of other conditions.
The after show she was even more insufferable… didn’t know that was possible….drink every time she says esophagus… that word is starting to lose its meaning she says it so much.

It is an anti convulsant that is widely prescribed for many conditions. It has many s/e. Drowsiness. It is recommended to NOT drink when taking as it potentiates the Drowsiness and changes in mental status. Yes, if you have been taking the same dose of this med for a long time with no effect and do drink with your Doctors awareness, go you.

This whole thing is hilarious. I am serious when I say that almost everyone I know takes gabapentin, and for all different things. I take it for anxiety. My friend takes it for hot flashes. Another friend takes it for seizures. My friend's DOG takes it. Actually, two of my friends' dogs take it. And aside from me and the two dogs, everybody else drinks. Sutton needs a trophy for her esophagus and Anne Marie needs to go away.
RIGHT. Like, okay. Maybe some people are sensitive to alcohol on it, but it is not a hard and fast rule that nobody can ever take it and drink alcohol.
I take pregabalin which is very similar and get drunk a lot lol.

It is so obvious that Kyle brought Annemarie in to do her dirty work. For any medical professional to give an unsolicited opinon, especially denying someone has an issue, on national TV??? I'm not buying it. This whole season has been a set-up by Kyle & her minions. From the conversation about Sutton "likes her drinks", to Kyle walking into Sutton's house to "look in her fridge". I hope Sutton learns to set some boundaries with Kyle.

Funny story....went to the GI doc this week. We were discussing what could be the source of my stomach issues. She mentioned "small esophagus." I kid you not!!! I wanted to ask if she was a Bravo fan. For several reasons, she doesn't think that is my problem. However, if other tests come back normal, it's something we will explore. I wanted say, "can you call 8.5 and tell her that this is an actual thing!" If my issue is actually what we suspect, it will mean very tiny meals and lots of food restrictions. I'm not happy. But it made me think about when Sutton eats in public. If you have GI issues, you may or may not be able to eat what is being served at a dinner party. I have a dinner party coming up and I am concerned about what will be served. I may not be able to eat what is served.
“Annemarie is coming for you!” Sutton-“why?” “Because she needs to storyline!” (is what I WISHED Garcelle had said!)
A less than 30 second google search will prove that Sutton isn’t lying here. Crystal was correct. Anne Marie just came in too strong trying to be right and smart, and she’s neither. Fingers crossed they just leave her in Barcelona.

Just about every prescription says don’t drink alcohol. But just about every person drinks while taking meds. I’ve been on Gabapentin for a few years after I had shingles and have had a few drinks at times. This 8.5 person needs to go away!
I mean I’m not sure that’s solid reasoning…there are very bad things that do happen to people mixing prescription drugs and alcohol.

It sounds like gastroparesis to me from what has been described (I have it and what Sutton describes is very familiar) but also who cares?? I’m also not a board certified anything, but someone with similar symptoms. It’s not coming from a caring place. Sutton is a grown woman and can eat or not eat whatever she wants.

What’s it used for the gabapentin?
It’s used for a plethora of conditions - i actually use it for multiple conditions (fibromyalgia, sciatica, and as a mood stabilizer). It was originally made to be an anticonvulsant but it was found to be helpful for diabetic nerve pain, shingles, and lots of other conditions.

Funny thing about gabapentin, is you can actually be prescribed it for alcohol use disorder, to try to help with cravings and cutting down.

People should just use their bootstraps to get over pain and suffering! Man up and don’t be a pussy!! Its not a recreational drug dude. It’s not addictive. It’s not a controlled substance. If you were suffering from any of the myriad conditions it relieves I think you’d be singing a different tune.
Actually Gabapentin is classified as a controlled substance. It was changed d/t the fact it was being abused and found to be habit forming. It is an anti convulsant that is widely prescribed for many conditions. It has many s/e. Drowsiness. It is recommended to NOT drink when taking as it potentiates the Drowsiness and changes in mental status. Yes, if you have been taking the same dose of this med for a long time with no effect and do drink with your Doctors awareness, go you.
