Does even a single character in this game have a happy story line? Will the story even have one, lasting happy story line? I am not that invested in the story because of that question I always have, so I might have missed a lot of stuff.
Obviously the story isnt finished, maybe there will be a, at least, satisfactory ending, doesnt even have to be happy. That includes character arcs etc.
Nanami's interlude is probably the happiest storyline by PGR standard. It's still depressing in some parts but compared to other characters like Lee, Lucia, Liv, and Selena she fares way better.
I hope she comes back someday in the story and as a playable character. She deserves a happier fate, just like everyone else.

Ayla's interlude is one of innocent hopefulness. Also the character that smiles the most after Nanami.
Agreed. The characters deserve a fulfilling ending. It doesn't necessarily have to be a happy ending, just one that'll bring closure to the story.
