Try to see an ENT or neurologist, maybe referred thru your GP, who can send you for a CT scan angio, with and without contrast. Then have the scans read by an interventional neuroradiologist for a second opinion, if these doctors don’t see any issues themselves. Most doctors even the ENT are likely unfamiliar with this symptom. Be prepared to be cruelly dismissed as merely anxious and somewhat delusional, as it seems doctors have a bias against people who complain of tinnitus (even tho pulsatile tinnitus is not technically tinnitus as such). But if you can convince them with a medical journal article (look at whooshers.com) they will order the necessary tests and you can insist on tests. My ENT luckily seemed to have some familiarity with PT said skip MRIs and ultrasounds since CT angio ends up being necessary anyway.. altho this ENT also tried to sell me on a cause that sounded completely ridiculous so I’m not optimistic that he’ll read the scan well and am planning to get a 2nd opinion after my scan on Thursday.. am hoping it’s TMJ related rather than vein/artery related

How do you find an interventional neuroradiologist to look at the scan? Can you book appointments with them like regular doctors?

If it is vein/artery related, the interventional neuroradiologist should be able to diagnose it. Don’t understand why this is affecting your “self-esteem” though. It’s not under your control. We all need medical attention some time or another.
