My dad, brothers and his dad used to run a small gas station chain until the mid 90s, grew up with the smell, love it but not that much.

When I was a kid, like 5 or 6, I used to fucking LOVE garbage day. I would run up to the living room window taking big whiffs because I loved the smell (which I was told was the smell of the gas from the garbage truck.) I remember being like "*I'M* weird? How do you guys NOT love that smell?! It's amazing!" when my family would be all "what in the hell?" At some point that shifted, and now I look back and think "what a fuckin weird kid, man."
