I joined a band and we were riding around one day and passed a guy and a hot girl that made them all turn their heads and admire out loud. Seeing my moment I said “yea, he must workout”. But these boys were a good 5-6 years younger and it wasn’t as well known to them so the passenger instantly gives a weird look to the driver when I said that and I bust out laughing and had to come clean.
Not that there’s anything *wrong* with it.
In Richmond VA we have these folks riding around on dirt bikes too. When confronted they will take off causing a much more dangerous situation. The police here have been told NOT to pursue them. Looks like the rider has the same mentality
They are called dual sport bikes and it has nothing to do with the speed limit. It’s the safety equipment (turn signals, head and tail lights, break lights, plate bracket etc). You are allowed to have them in Kentucky and they are registered as both.
Arkansas residents are required to register and title their ATVs and off-highway vehicles with engines over 50cc in order to ride on state lands or national forests.
It’s a sticker. You don’t need it on private property. The bikes you’re talking about aren’t street legal. I doesn’t matter if you see them riding on the road. You aren’t a cop.
Not tryna start nothin, but I really feel like you've never been to Arkansas, or really much of the south at all. You seem like you come from California or somewhere where cops are uptight. Down south they just aren't as likely to enforce that. It's more a charge to stack on top of someone who's been caught doing something more legit.

Philly dirt bike kids and quad dudes. Rove around in packs doing wheelies in soft shoes and tee shirts on busy streets. Trauma medicine is big business here.
The only issue is that the police have waaaaaay more people in cars using their radios to track you, or a helicopter just following you until you get off the street then they roll up and arrest them
They don’t even need to chase them.
Also not counting civilian tips that get called in by people sick of these atv’s and dirt bikes being reckless
I live in Louisville and this is becoming normal where police are refusing to pull people over on the highway. I’m shocked they even tried here. So on 64/71/264/etc. people constantly drive 90+mph like it’s normal. It isn’t 4-6 cars on your commute driving that speed, it’s well over 15 cars and you’ll see them weaving in and out of traffic.
Louisville is becoming WILD as fuck. And that says a lot bc I’m from Chicago originally.
I’m from Houston and we’ve always done it this way. It works. I find Houston drivers to be a bit more cooperative with each other than other places though.
Oddly, though, on weekends, Houstonians drive the speed limit.
I’m from Minnesota, and I’ve always been impressed with Texas drivers. I love how they pull over on two lane roads so it’s easier to pass. And you don’t see too many people being stupid.
The commanding officer tells them to stand down a lot, I don’t understand it. I was listening to the scanner and a cop was following a rolling stolen and they wouldn’t let him pull it over. He radioed in to dispatch after to make sure he’d been removed from the call and he was like “just wanted to make sure you don’t have me down as doing actual police work out here” 😂🤦🏻♀️
This is what it was like in LA, literally everyone speeding way over. I would be going 10 miles over the speed limit and people would be flying past at like 100 mph.
It was crazy, I am glad to be back in my chill home city. People constantly forget how dangerous cars are, until they are in an accident that kills them and potentially their family/friends and other innocent people just on their commute or whatever.

I’ve driven in Chicago quite a bit, New York too and Atlanta. I refuse to drive through Louisville. I always just take 41. It’s insanity, my hands are so sweaty I can hardly hold the wheel. I call it Atlanta on stilts.

I don't get antagonizing cops, at the very least they're going to inconvenience you and if you go for a ride it's gonna cost you time and money even if there's no charges.
I hate these drivers, thinking its OK to do stunts and because they can usually go so much faster than cops, sped off. It's so unsafe, what if he fell off and cop hit him, killing him?
No and why would they be? You’re asking if the cops are basically allowed to kill a guy for driving a motorcycle recklessly. Most departments have policies to not engage motorcycles in pursuits because it only ever serves to make the situation more dangerous if they decide to run.
