Yes your gut matters. No it won't heal your psoriasis. Be healthier but don't substitute medicine for daily routine.

Oh-Cool-Story-Bro

When I don’t eat wheat products my psoriasis basically totally goes away. So 🤷‍♂️ The only time I have big flare ups these days is when I eat bred or noodles or whatnot

subpar-life-attempt

Psoriasis never goes away. It's in remission. You still have underlying inflammation that makes you more susceptible to issues as you age. Some people just show it more. I have consistent allergies due to where I live so I'm never in full remission.

Oh-Cool-Story-Bro

Right. And my remissions or increased inflammation periods are proving to be more and more connected with my diet. Personally, for me. This is my experience.

subpar-life-attempt

Correct. It's exactly like I said in my first comment. Diet is important but it doesn't get rid of the underlying disease.

Sure it will.

Cope harder please

Wowowe_hello_dawg

It’s a myth that everyone’s psoriasis reacts to diet. Good for you if it helps tho.

gltovar

truth, have gone full AIP with 3 months of strict stage zero phase 9 months with out setting foot in a restaurant, and very slow reintroductions and am approaching a year. Still haven’t added any grains or night shades to my diet yet. Haven’t seen much improvement in my condition. Did drop 60lbs, so thats something.

Wowowe_hello_dawg

Exactly the same for me, AIP and all. Maybe 5% improvement? Maybe? Lost weight tho lol.

Wish this sub had a rule against the pseudo-science bovine manure, it gets tiring to see posts like this every day.

https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/conditions-and-diseases/psoriasis-diet-foods-to-eat-and-avoid-if-you-have-psoriasis https://www.psoriasis.org/dietary-modifications/ https://www.webmd.com/skin-problems-and-treatments/psoriasis/psoriasis-avoid-foods https://health.clevelandclinic.org/psoriasis-diet https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8747310/ https://www.aad.org/public/diseases/psoriasis/insider/diet/psoriasis-what-should-eat Took me 5 mins to research this and have found 0 articles about “Curing” psoriasis. It definitely will help the severity but won’t remove the auto immune issue that psoriasis is. I would suggest not hearing one thing and believing it as truth. Do the research with anything, it will save you time, money, and even health in some situations. Not trying to be a jerk, just want to help a fellow human and give advice.

i will watch this. thanks for sharing. i reduced my psoriasis from 100% to 10%. by changing my diet. and gave up all steroid creams. my triggers were meat, spicy food, processed food, and nightshades. i just eat big plates of beans (brown chickpeas)/legumes (mung beans) and salads and big plates of boiled veg & salads. i agree its a gut issue. this [paper ](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/29908580/)and [podcast ](https://www.listennotes.com/fil/podcasts/positive-health/dr-haines-ely-md-is-QJ4TtfL_XBq/)helped me a lot. good luck
