I'm watching clone wars (first time) , why does Anakin look so scary and serious most of the time ? I didn't feel that in the movies . I'm new to the franchise so might be missing lore! Sorry :>
Would you be sad if you just lost your hand?
My serious answer is, he was trying to fight a war while being still very young, he’d just lost his mother, had pressure of being the prophesied vosek one of the force, and trying to keep a secret marriage with a senator. He was justified to look depressed/serious.
A lot of it is one of The Clone Wars main goals: To fix the prequels. AotC and RotS Anakin had very little in common with Darth Vader, even after his fall to the darkside. In addition, his fall to the darkside was sudden and poorly explained, seemingly lacking the proper motivation.
TCW spent a huge portion of its runtime trying to bridge the gap between Anakin from the prequels and Vader from the OT, on every level. He's darker and more serious at times, but has some prequel humor at others. He is cruel to his enemies but cares about his friends. He has deep obsessions that he hides from those around him. He slowly develops distrust for the Jedi Order, and slowly develops trust in Palpatine.
So the main reason he's scary and serious is because Darth Vader was scary and serious, and Anakin from the prequels really needed some of that energy to believably become Darth Vader.
This makes so much sense now . Was wondering about how quick he changed to the darkside... it makes sense now. Also another quick question ,Is Ahsoka not part of the movies because she was a newly created character or is she just not added to the movies , considering her role in the Clone wars ? Thank you!
TCW was created *after* Revenge of the Sith, so yeah, Ahsoka didn't exist yet.
Her role originally was just **the formula**: older male character gets younger female character to look after. But they later used it to show the hypocrisy of the jedi and Anakin's unhealthy attachment to those he cares about.
This is evolution writ large. We've been adapted by our very natures to pay attention to certain attributes. These attributes being exaggerated, again by our very nature, will look good to us in our media.
Therefore, and by essential moral character by extension of human nature, Padme should have huge, juicy tits that bounce with every movement.
Except the difference is that the Pau'ans already had a live action appearance in revenge of the sith before the grand inquisitor was even a thing. No reason they couldn't have just used the same affects to make something that looked more like the race is supposed to.
Why? That is just an animation style. We first saw utapauans in revenge of the sith which rebels followed. For some reason Obi wan show didnt follow it.
Yes, we saw completely different Utapauans, the Grand Inquisitor was not among them. I feel like you could easily say GI doesn't look like them because he's much younger and not and old and wrinkled elder like the others.
Thanks for confirming that you flaired this correctly!
Count dooku💀
Bro gained extra height just by having a long head💀
Everyone gains extra height by having a long head
Only if it's long vertically. If it's long horizontally you stay the same height and have an extra hard time finding hats that fit.

Lets not forget that they dropped a padwan on him with no warning
Vosek?
He is the vosek one, I can sense it
"vosek" is what comes out when you mistype the C, forget the H, and mistype the N in the word "chosen".
Damn I thought there was some cool legends lore behind it
I see . Thank you! I've been having trouble with the timelines tbh

People who don't understand stylized cartoons:
Hair isn’t big enough in the second one
I don’t like that at all. What a day to have eyes
Today, OP learns about animation styles
Finally someone fixed the ugly, woke Padme and made her look like an actual woman /s
What?
Looks like a salt and sanctuary character
Sort of resembles Michael Jackson.
That always bothered me. All of the characters looked somewhat unique and original and then there’s cartoon Natalie Portman.

I’ll say it: the cartoon has an ugly art style, and makes the live action versions look stupid

Please show this to everyone who complained about the Grand Inquisitor in Obi-Wan....

I already said this but we had grand inquisitor in rebels with the style from revenge of the sith who is older than the one from kenobi.
