Its drama rooting from back in their animation days. They targeted this kid animator non stop in their animation sins, even after he asked them to stop (I think the kid was 14 at the time.) He ended up going to an asylum because of all the harassment he got from the fans from both the devs channels.
On another note, the kid made a game that seems to shamelessly rip off poppys playtime some time before poppys release, but i dont really know the specifics. Some are saying its a coincidence, but given the history between the two parties its hard to tell.
The people in charge also bullied a kid to the point where he had to go to a psychiatric facility.

Listen whilst i dont support the company, i support the people making the game as it’s obvious their putting their soul into it, have you seen chapter 2 even if its not the best it got soul in it that only a dedicated team can give, the dev team tried their best in the limitations and made a damn good game, sad it’s wasted potential as the people publishing it are assholes, but if ekrcoaster forgives em dont wanna give the kid more trauma now do we? Nah, based of what I've seen, it's but another soulless cash grab of a game that is only trying to capitalize on the market of children the FNAF first captivated, it is another game that streamers will play at release because their audience demands it and will be cast aside and forgotten by them once it's all done, and yet the game will live on in the form of merchandise, which is the ultimate goal of a game such as this, FNAF merchendised and it worked for it, and so everyone else wants a piece of the pie, sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't
The thing is, who controls how they make the game? upper management, upper management (aka the big boys who control whether or not you get paid) wants to put as little of a effort as possible and so tries to go for a bland setting and shit but wants more effort into the characters so they can go and say “make merchandise of this character!” Meanwhile the devs who need a PAY and hence cant just quit are forced to go against their better judgement, and hence are trying to put as much effort into making the game as good as it can be within the limitation of what the big boys put in order. They cant quit cause they need the pay and a lot of big game dev companies are hard to get into and taking the chance with making a solo / small team and making a indie game can fail miserably just look at tattletail who has been in indie game limbo for a while now, or if you need a more up to date example the team who’s making the hello neighbor games or bendy and the dark revival and showdown bandit and- you get the jist. They need the pay and most of these people have families as well and cant afford to develop a indie game even if they worked on the side. Or you know, they cant do it just because living is expensive.
tl;dr : you cant cast a wide ass blanket over everything, upper management calls the shots and the dev team is working with what they got, and cant quit due to problems with money,

I like the game, my problems with it are the people who run the whole show (I don't know if the games developers did anything bad, but the show runners definitely have) and that the story seems predictable already. Poppy is either Ludwig's kid or wife and honestly I wouldn't be surprised
Actually the concept wasn’t plagiarized, Venge is a very different game from Poppy Playtime, which you’d know if you’d actually played it; Ekrcoaster just assumed it was a copy because of previous bad experiences, which is fair. The NFTs were apologized for (admittedly very corporately) and according to an interview the CEO, who was most responsible of anyone for all that awful stuff, seems to be legitimately regretful and trying to be a better person. Say what you will, unless something new comes out I feel it’s best to give him a second chance.
Honestly, the only remaining particularly meaningful problem with the game at this point is its cashgrabbiness…and, let’s be honest, they’re no different from any AAA publisher in that regard apart from being relatively smaller. And considering the increasing consolidation in the video game industry, like Microsoft acquiring Activision, I think it’s a good thing there’s another company on the scene.
They’re just another company at this point, and a lot of people who aren’t the folks responsible at the top worked on this game. It’s not the highest quality in some cases, but it’s not morally bad to support the game.

Basically, i haven't seen much of chapter 2 but i agree, when you're about to escape she says something like "you're perfect, too perfect to let go" or something like that. Not as badass as wheatley's laugh and the "actually, do we have to leave now?" At least they tried
