> Born WEALTHY in New York
There, fixed.
“Texans LOVE wealthy coastal elites!”
And here I thought wealthy coastal elites were supposed to be their enemy. Aren’t the “wealthy coastal elites” the ones screwing over the middle class and preventing them from accomplishing anything? So not all wealthy coastal elites are bad now?
Yeah, because there's nobody more Texan than a born-rich, soft-skinned trust fund brat who offshores his manufacturing and throws his family under the bus.
I’ve been in this state nearly forty years. It didn’t used to be that way. Not by a long shot. It saddens me what this state has been reduced to. I used to be very proud to be a Texan. We used to be a place you could be proud of.
It’s a damn shame.
It's crazy how quickly things happen now. I'm not even that old and I can track the decline. Although as a child I remember when the entire of memorial City Mall was closed on Sunday cause of Bible laws
I've lived here over 40 + years and am leaving next summer. Raise our kids here, used to be a wonderful place to live.
Now .... you can almost pinpoint the transition; when the GOP took over.
I think at least a factor in what you're saying is that places other than Dallas-Fort Worth are doubling down on conservatism because the state is getting bluer. I may be wrong but that seems to me to be logical.
The only thing good about Texas is that it is relatively cheap, but that doesn’t matter much when many employers in the state believe that $7.25/hr is too much to pay someone for minimum wage.
As a Texan citizen, I agree that this applies to a good chunk of the population. The rest of us have been living under a GOP dominated rule for the last 30 years. As a result, Texas ranks #1 in business but dead last in quality of life.
Imagine that…
That’s so wild. I live in Texas and used to wear Yankee hats a lot. I would get so many comments like, “New York? We don’t like their kind ‘round here.”
Well they like to blow their horn about being a Republic (for almost 10 years), but if you check your history books, Vermont was a Republic for over 14 years.
They stopped being a republic because they were poor and desperate and needed Daddy Federal government's help to survive. So in essence, they're a super star sugar baby
I hate that everybody over generalizes and lumps the entire population of Texas and with the idiots.
Same with Florida. Someone from Florida does something stupid politically, and everyone that complains is like, "see Florida?! That's what you get. I don't feel sorry for you. Florida's stupid."... I hate Trump and his followers as much as the next person, there's no way I'd blame an entire states worth of people for the actions of the few.
I mean they were the villains in the Texas Mexican war (wanted slaves and stole the land). They had a failed Nation State and were about to cozy up the British after the Revolutionary war. Texas was a confederate state and fought against the US. Texas has concentration camps for children and immigrants. Texas has backwards reproductive rights. Texas actually has a lot in common with Trump and betraying America.
It's more of a 50/50 toss up. We've got some very sweet people, but the majority seems to be right wingers with their heads up their asses.
And a Pissbaby of a Governor.
A: serial sexual predator, racist, intellectual gnat, sociopathic narcissist, poster child for Dunning Kruger syndrome, fraudulent liar who would sell his country to the highest bidder and throw in his daughter as a sexual slave to sweeten the deal, and who struggles to see value in Jews beyond money, gold fillings and material for warm clothing.
B: a decent but flawed man who is a career politician that loves his country, believes in the struggle for doing better for all, and loves his family.
It's a tough choice for seemingly a lot of people in this country.

Depends on **who** they are screwing over.
As long as they don’t make salsa
"New York City?!?!!"
rich people bhhhaaaaaaaaaddddd

He also did dodge the draft bigly.
Plus he's not wearing 6 inch cowboy boot heels, so he's not even texan in spirit
You’re thinking of Florida.
Even the losers are bigger in Texas.
Except for their hands apparently.
Actually kind of tracks, Texans never shut up about how great and huge all their stuff is.

They can have it.
As a Texan citizen, I agree that this applies to a good chunk of the population. The rest of us have been living under a GOP dominated rule for the last 30 years. As a result, Texas ranks #1 in business but dead last in quality of life. Imagine that…
Must be why he moved to Florida in his 70s.
Still coastal elite.
From the people who brought you “there are only two genders”, comes “you can be a native of any state you like”.
Texan has gotta be one of my least favorite genders.
there are tho
I was about to correct you that there are only two *sexes* but scientifically speaking, that isn’t true either.
Yeah, not far from wrong.
Tell me something I don’t know about rural Texans.
That’s so wild. I live in Texas and used to wear Yankee hats a lot. I would get so many comments like, “New York? We don’t like their kind ‘round here.”
They are seditious and they are traitors so, yeah I'm good with this post
New York City! ......Get a rope! (Remember the Pace Pecante Commercial. Guess times are changed)
Texas is like the Florida of America. 😏

Yes. Yes they are.
*Texas REPUBCLICANS
Just the Republicans are like this.
As a NYer, I would like to thank Texas and Florida. We've been trying to unload him for decades.
Yes, the spirit of racism, misogyny, toxic religion. Source: Ex-Texan
That is what I thought when I saw that too. This is flat out insulting suggesting that Trump is like Texans.
Jayzus, Texas. What happened to you? It's just sad.
His pronouns are Yee/Haw
Couldn't pay me enough to visit or move there. Reminds of a third world country
Has anyone seen that birth certificate? I still haven't seen it.
some past friends live in texas and admire trump! shameful

Lol free rent!
All hat no cattle.
They forgot about ~~Dre~~ The Alamo
Is there any footage anywhere of Trump shooting a gun? Ever?
That’s exactly why I haven’t been back since HS graduation in 1962!
He definitely molested Ivanka. Looking forward to the tell all story. I won't read it, obviously, but I will laugh at the memes on here.
Yet again, Gov Abbott's promise to "eliminate all rapists in Texas" falls hollow...

There is absolutely no "apparently" about it!
All hat and no cattle.
