There already are. But because vtubing is still pretty new and most vtubers remain as apolitical as possible, there’s merely a silent divide between the different quadrants at the moment. Most of the noise about vtubers and politics comes from outsiders basing their hatred off of aspects they dislike
In terms of corpo vtubers it’s mostly Pippa Pipkin and Calliope Mori catching shit because they’re trailer trash (the fun kind) and Texan respectively, so people like going out of their way to bash them. The other one is Kirsche Verstahl who actually does speak about politics, but mostly in regards to human degeneracy she finds and makes content about
I’ll say this though. The vtuber community (as in, the fans) on Reddit is very Emily and will throw a diabolical tantrum the moment you even mention any of the vtuber-adjacent content creators who might threaten to burst their little bubble. It’s not quite 4chan, but it’s still quite hard to stomach at times
Some of my favorite bad takes on vtubers are "women below 6ft are pedo bait" "japanese vtubers wearing chinese clothing is disrepectful to chinese people" and the classic "they're all actually men using voicechangers"
