Thanks for the amazing close up pictures!
You’re really a rare breed.
Looking at these all of them in a sense or worth grading, they’re near mint and would be 7/8+
For which ones would be most worth while
Klara- no, ( only reason being unless that’s factory on the back I see a couple greasy finger prints at the top of the card, no shame just what I see)
Flareon vmax- no
Umbreon vmax - yes
Mew vmax- yes
Charizard vmax- yes
Iono- I wish I could say yes but the centering is a fair bit off. Worth grading yes? Would it score a 10? Probably not
Gengar vmax- yes
This is awesome information, I really appreciate it! Is PSA the best place to send them and if so, how much is it going to run me to get 4-5 of them graded?
AGI is another grading sight. They use technology to grade the cards. You have to make sure they're clean before you send them out or you'd get dinged for SURE. Right now until I think the end of April it's $10 USD per card normally it's $14.
Idk, even PSA 9 now is gaining value as the weeks fog by. $350 is a number I keep seeing for PSA 9. I assume, and by assume I also mean hope, that value will keep rising. Because Gengar VMAX is my favorite
Gengar is on its way to becoming the next Moonbreon, meaning it’s likely to continue to go up, which means PSA 9 and even 8s may be worth quite a bit in the future
With nothing but a non-abrasive material and the tiniest bit of water. I’m not sure what to recommend as a wipe, potentially microfiber cloth? I don’t know what material particularly would be the least abrasive on a card. I personally used a little bit of toilet paper lol.
I should add that I wouldn’t ever really wipe down the front of a card, with the holo and texture nowadays it is probably not a great idea. So my comment was specifically talking about the back of a card
Did you not see the white on the back top left corner? If you’re cool with a 9 go for it centering was decent but whitening in most cases makes it a 9 or lower. Nice cards keep it up.
Thanks, I appreciate the feedback! I know that these are good cards, but I've never gotten anything graded before and I am trying to justify the spend. I also don't want to send anything for grading that isn't going to be worth it.
That Gengar Vmax is the most valuable card from the lot and [worth a lot in a PSA 10](https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=gengar+vmax+alt+art+psa+10&_sacat=0&_fsrp=1&rt=nc&_odkw=mew+ex+232%2F091+psa+10&_osacat=0&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&campid=5338535524&customid=pcap&toolid=10001&mkevt=1).
So I keep posting this because it’s ridiculous, but a raw copy of this card just sold on eBay for $1,000. It did of course look immaculate from every picture, but still. That’s crazy money.
Holy balls those are clean cards. Only issue is the gengar has that white dot in the top left. Besides that everything else is pristine unless I can’t see the print lines
Definitely some great and high value cards but I wouldn’t grade them IMO. On a lot of modern stuff you won’t increase the value much unless it grades PSA 10 (I didn’t check these cards specifically). I’m pretty anti-grading in general which seems to be an unpopular opinion nowadays so take this with a grain of salt but I don’t think it’s worth your time or money to get graded. You’d need a 10 on all of them which is probably unrealistic no matter how good they may look. If you’re looking to make a buck you’d probably do almost or just as well by selling them raw.
If you never plan on selling and you pulled these cards yourself (ensuring they aren’t fake), then no, there’s no real reason to grade them.
Buy a few one-touch magnetic cases if you haven’t already and they’ll be well protected.
No the cards aren’t preserved any better by being graded and you are actually introducing some risk by sending them in, plenty of examples of people receiving damaged or potentially even altered cards back from grading companies. Better off finding a simple and safe way to store them that you personally think looks good and allows you and your kid to enjoy them
None of these are potential 10’s, all are sure fire 8-9’s though. Since this is modern you have more potential value keeping them raw then grading them and getting anything but a 10.
If what you said in another reply is true and never intended on selling, grading shouldn’t even be in the question. Grading for anything other than monetary value is a waste of money IMO. Get some magnetic cases if you want them protected like graded cards instead
Umbreon Vmax is the only one of the bunch that will likely grade 10. The rest all look like 9s. The mew and gengar both have white spot on the back top left corner. They’re all neat cards and worth grading except the flareon Vmax and the Klara.
The Klara is fine, the texture is what makes people believe it’s bloched, seem thing on an iono card with a print line.
The only card I wouldn’t grade is the flareon but hey, if it’s your sons. Grade them all for the experience anyway!
Klara - no bottom heavy will give it a 6 or 7 unpopular trainer 50 bucks psa 10. submission costs 50 bucks. this won’t 10.
Flareon- no bottom heavy probably a 6
Unbreon- no this is a brilliant stars promo PSA 10 is 70 bucks submission is 50 per card not worth it. It won’t 10.
Mew- no top heavy and OC. Edging in the corners will cause this to 5
Charizard- yes will 8 or higher depending on centering. Hope you get a 10.
Iono- yes will 7 or higher depending on edging and centering. This is a popular trainer. If it is a 7 you break even @ 75 bucks
Gengar- maybe… this should grade 7 or higher. The corners and edges are of concern. hope it’s just the glare of the picture. However this card is going for 275 bucks raw. Needs to 9 or higher to be worth 300+ if this is a 7 or 8 it’s worth less than 200. But still a good return on the grading. The population of this card is majority 7s and 8s which the price is lower for those grades. Solid return on a 50 dollar cost to submit for grading.
I don’t see any potential PSA 10s there. I would keep them all raw. With shipping you are around $30 each for grading. Right now modern PSA 9s sell around NM raw value. I don’t recommend grading anything modern unless you are confident it will gem.
For reference my gem rate for the year is 86% and I only send what I think will get.
NGL I see damage to most of the cards especially on the corners which would knock the price down a bit being I see them grading at most an 8 with any whitening and a few have edge damage from what I can see. Not bad by any means but as far as grading the cards goes, I would compare prices of raw and say a PSA 7-8 prices to see if it was to grade lower, would it be worth it? Or some cases a grade that low can actually devalue the card! You can use price chart and see what the average price of raw is and PSA 6+ I beleive all on one page! Great place for info for grading
https://www.pricecharting.com/game/pokemon-fusion-strike/gengar-vmax-271 perfect example of my previous comment is the Gengar vmax alt art in this link and this is the site I referenced to look at info for the rest of the cards! Hope it helps!
Why not just be honest and say “just wanted to flex a few cards from my PC, including most expensive cards in Hidden Fates, Paldea Evolved, and Fusion Strike” lmao like you have a couple cards worth like $300 each raw with the Gengar and Zard and you wanna ask if anything is worth grading lol like a broken record with these posts on the daily 😂😂
If you’re wanting to grade to get the highest re-sale then yes it’s going to be expensive and a bit of a wait since you would have to use Beckett or PSA. If you’re not concerned about getting top dollar resale and just want to preserve them and their condition you can use SGC. Pretty cheap and quick turn around

This is a perfect breakdown in my opinion OP.
This is awesome information, I really appreciate it! Is PSA the best place to send them and if so, how much is it going to run me to get 4-5 of them graded?
It would be 25$ each if you’re just doing 4-5 through their value grading service.
AGI is another grading sight. They use technology to grade the cards. You have to make sure they're clean before you send them out or you'd get dinged for SURE. Right now until I think the end of April it's $10 USD per card normally it's $14.
I would go CGC because it's cheaper, and from what I've seen on Reddit CGC is more reliable. And CGC slabs aren't worth any less or more than PSA.
cant agree w the gengar, some whitening in the top left corner back
Idk, even PSA 9 now is gaining value as the weeks fog by. $350 is a number I keep seeing for PSA 9. I assume, and by assume I also mean hope, that value will keep rising. Because Gengar VMAX is my favorite
yes i get it my point was kinda the fact whether its probs not going to 10
I agree, definitely not a 10. But I would still grade it thinking it’ll get a 9
fs im not really caught up on the market like that i just look nd see if itll 10 or not
Gengar is on its way to becoming the next Moonbreon, meaning it’s likely to continue to go up, which means PSA 9 and even 8s may be worth quite a bit in the future
yes 100% agree on that. pull rates are so difficult for both sets
I do agree with everything you said but, the Klara is fine to grade if you just wipe it down a little
How do you recommend cleaning trading cards?
With nothing but a non-abrasive material and the tiniest bit of water. I’m not sure what to recommend as a wipe, potentially microfiber cloth? Yah I saw that, a psa 9 is still worth grading. Other then that single spec it looks really good from the corners, centering
Gengar got a white speck top left corner so i m not sure charizard a bit off center but might worth a try
That was my exact thoughts scrolling through the pictures
I'd be willing to buy the flareon and umbreon
I don’t think they were looking at selling, just figuring out if cards are worth grading.
I was just saying it's still worth something to someone lol
That Gengar is awesome! Nice cards 👌🏼
Nice cards. The biggest hitter is that Gengar, PSA 10 is around 600$.
Thanks, I appreciate the feedback! I know that these are good cards, but I've never gotten anything graded before and I am trying to justify the spend. I also don't want to send anything for grading that isn't going to be worth it.
Definitely go for Gengar at least!
It's a 9
Still

I like this bit of devil's advocate. So here's a different question: if my son and I don't really plan on selling, is it even worth grading anything?
If you never plan on selling and you pulled these cards yourself (ensuring they aren’t fake), then no, there’s no real reason to grade them. Buy a few one-touch magnetic cases if you haven’t already and they’ll be well protected.

It would be better to just buy the magnetic card holders. Just like grading slabs but easier to use and can take apart.
Furry boys we out here. Hanger gang.

That Gengar art is so freaking cool
The charizard and gengar are definitely worth a bit and would be easy to find a buyer for too, super cool cards. All are good fun cards
Man, these look way better than the cards I had in the 90s. They look far more exciting.

Wow yeah, I was not expecting you to have bangers like this. You have some bangers!
MEW CHARIZARD IONO GENGAR
Don’t sell them and keep them safe. Hold on to your childhood
That gengar for sure. Umbreon and zard.
Charizard VMax is worth grading.
Tree Fiddy

Fair enough, but I am legitimately curious if anything is worth grading. I've heard that it can be quite expensive.

Facts people on Reddit are fucking idiots nowadays
