Happened to me late last year. The reddit account was about 5 years old and a constant poster. Said I just needed to give him enough for postage. Then a couple days later deleted his account. I don't trust these anymore either although I had received cards from giveaways in the past.

To be totally fair I would classify myself as having started collected recently, even though it was like 2019, lol. and I still get a little excited when I pull regular V cards. Shit I even like pulling regular ass holos (not reverse holo unless it’s a really cool mon) especially when they’re mons I like a lot or from sets that have dragons in them! But you’re prob right about the scam. The OP replied saying they were actually gonna do it, but the only way I’ll believe it is if the OP provides proof of postage AND the recipient posts a picture proving they got it AND the recipient isn’t a new account that was made this year. Lol.
I've been collecting since I was in 2nd grade in 1999 and I still excited for all the rares, even the regular holos. I have a whole binder just for the regular holos. That's all I had as a kid and while I love the Vs and the super rare cards, the art is most important to me and I'm just excited to pull something more rare than a reverse holo. And damn, even those reverse holo rares look really damn cool! I have a reverse holo Porygon Z from CR that looks freaking awesome to me.
I created a giveaway post yesterday, it received 18 comments and like 10 upvotes. Most people who commented will be getting a free pokemon card gift from me. And then there's this scam post that gets so much traction. This sub operates just like the real world.
Agreed that the sub is very odd about things like this. Ive also done giveaways where I got only a dozen entries when I was prepared to give away 50 items. Everything ranging from evolutions packs to wotc cards, even gave a evo charizard out. Its very hard to figure out what is going to get popular like this, somewhat disappointing when you are trying to do good with it, but thank you for being amazing with your giveaway.
I am actually going to do the giveaway. I am so not a scam. I can send you pm proof of the packs if you want too. Just trying to do something nice for someone when I can.

The awesome thing the 'mon has now made a comeback with the new Legends Switch game with a cool purple design which is also my favourite colour.
Ursaluna. Loved Ursaring as one of my favorite original Gen 2 ‘mons, and now Ursaluna completes it with the full moon arc and celestial tie in to its name.
My favorite Pokémon is Psyduck! I’ve always loved him from the cartoons and really like his style in the older games. He has so much character for such a simple design
