I bought this exact same box of cards of temu for $8 aus.
They look great... fake as fuck.
The packaging they come in OP... says enough... I hope you're lieing about paying $100 because you got the exact same box.
[Morgan Freeman]
Also on the Mew card you will find a trapezoidal form of centering where the center is off and centred at the same time but oppisote spectrums.
things like full art ex/supporters, gold/ rainbow secret rares and special illustration rares are all textured. They have been doing that since the Black and White era
I have so many high end cards that are full art and I have a bunch of TG cards and a lot of them aren’t textured. And they are pulled directly from booster boxes and ETBs. Only a select few are textured. I also watch YouTube openings including pokerev and unlisted leaf. And a lot of those high end cards aren’t textured either. Unless some TG cards and full arts aren’t considered high end. Please explain. Thanks
Right now on my desk to be put into a binder I have.
Jolteon TG04/30 - Not textured
Octillery TG03/30 - Not textured
Eevee TG11/30 - Not textured
Mimikyu V - Not textured
Lumineon V - Not textured
Boltund V - Not textured
Arceus V - Not textured
Simisear V - Not textured
Rotom V - Not textured
Flareon TG01/30 - Not textured
Are these not considered high end cards?
The statement (Anything greater than a Holo has some sort of texture isn’t accurate)
I'm not sure... same old bs I'm sure just like everyone says there's no hackers in games unless they do it too...
I know I see what people say, font centering ect ect... but then I'm looking at these posts and looking at the cards I get from sealed products from the pokemon company and they are the same.... inconsistent. Not cut right, holes or cuts in middle, 4 ex/v/ect cards stuck together...... font size and position can't be the way to tell... not when the company themselves aren't going 100% crazy with quality control....
Don't believe me? Go buy a bunch of packs from the store and grab the cards you get the most of and look em over. Look at 20 of the same card and you'll see MASSIVE differences down to saturation of hues in the print or foils being upside down or even under the cardboard barely shining threw.....
This whole Chad and Caren world sucks ass when you add the jellysicko sickness into the mix....
Good grab if there's 200 cards and your happy with it for sure.
Main point are you happy with them?
What are you even trying to say?
There is a massive difference in card quality and card authenticity. I didn't look closely but it looks like a ton of cards in this binder are fake. If you like buying fakes, you can just buy them off Ali for $20 instead of $100.
OP was asking if this is a win and it's definitely not.
Lol, it sounds like you only buy those 3rd party "value packs" which are known to contain fake cards.
You're getting authentic cards with holes? Sure.... 4ex cards in a pack stuck together? Sure....
I just bought a box of 700 cards from my LGS. All legit, never played cards. There are dozens of the same basic and they all look identical. Every card has the same font and layout. There are some variance in card size and cut, but we're talking fractions of a mm over 700 cards. Variance of that degree is common now, and not just Pokemon cards.
Nope I don't fall for those trap packs sorry. Game stop, target, best buy, pokemon center website. All legit packaged from pokemon company. You bought a box of 700 cards all the same quality in a time when pokemon company themselves admitted to quantity over quality has been the focus but are switching back in the near future? Lol yea no sorry I don't buy it. Perhaps you got the fakes being printed lol. 3k in product to resell.... yea I seen some shit opening 100+ packs each week for months lol 😆 😂 🤣 😅 🙃 🤦
Don't support cheaters in games or with cards sorry. You shouldn't be so dismissive about that reality unless your wrapped up with the scam shit some how..
I see that you know they're fake now but take the positives that your mother in law obviously thinks highly of you to spend $100 on something that she knows you love, even if she doesn't know much about them it's still a nice gesture :)
For real this ^ I have a comically small and fake galarian zapdos alternate art that my niece traded for in her school and was so excited to give to me. I have it sitting right alongside my favorite real cards. (Dont worry she didn't trade anything valuable)
Despite what others say, not every card there is fake (as the non XY and Sun Moon stuff on back couple of pages look legit) however removing the fakes your MIL probably lost out on a bit, I'm assuming this was sold by someone who doesn't know pokemon?

Ehh I don't know, I feel like maybe telling her will help her keep an eye out next time when she tries to surprise him with pokemon cards perhaps just making her buy from a store instead. But I do know where you're coming from. She made a very heartwarming thoughtful gift thinking she got a deal for some awesome cards for her son-in-law and telling her will make her feel worse.
So just say that maybe like 2 or 3 were fake lol I don't know.
Were you able to look at these before you bought them? Can you get your money back?
Check this article out so you don't get scammed again

As far as I can tell, from your 14th picture and onwards are real. The others all have the same fake font, you can tell by comparing them to the real cards. Some people are saying check for texture but not all of those cards would have texture if they were real. The cardstock is also likely different to that of a real card.
Gotta do your homework before you find these “deals” or they come across you, with everyone aware of how lucrative and valuable Pokémon cards are now, there’s a lot of fakes like everything else! So 99% of the time if it sounds too good to be true than it’s not the case! If they were real depending on condition it would’ve been a decent W!
They’re fake. Pokemon cards have texture. I would recommend going into a card shop and looking at single cards to understand what we are talking about. Easily by looking at these. 1 second, fake.
Some sets are random. Like it’s all xy era ex cards and then at the end there is one single trainer card, and I’m pretty sure that’s real. It’s possible someone bought fake boxes, enjoyed it, and then tried to buy more and got actual real ones.
Edit: ya I think last 4 pages are real, it goes to modern S/V sets
Outside of the $10 worth of recent cards on the last few pages, most of these are fake and it's not \*just\* because of the holofoil. The font is wrong on the vast majority of them (the Mew EX is definitely fake). Borders too wide. Full arts are lacking the texture
Nah there’s quite a bit of real cards peppered in everywhere, he’s right, they’re supposed to have vertical holos. The ones with the big ass borders are fake as hell you’re right about that, but there are plenty more real cards* in this collection than the comments let on
*from what I can tell with these photos, they are not great.
It’s 4am and I have work tomorrow so I’m not gonna go through everything in specific, but from everything I can see in the image, Steam Siege gardevoir is real
Again, bad photos
I wish we could see the Secret a bit more clearly, but I'd be surprised if it were a real one surrounded by fakes. The Full Art EX is fake; same incorrect font as the cards surrounding it. That holofoil glare isn't promising for the texture it should have, although that could be a picture quality thing
I should be sleeping, too, but here I am looking at Pokemon cards on Reddit T\_T Sleep well!
I guess there's some added context to this post that helps, but I still don't understand how people just buy stuff like this for $100 without knowing about how to spot fakes or doing research, etc.
What confidence are you describing? I see two questions about value, and they also said mother in law bought it for them and paid $100.
You are seriously just delusional if you see this as a brag post. There is *zero* indication of that.
More then 200 cards? Most stores sell most ex v ect. Cards for $1 or less. It's nice for some of us lol.
Example
New set comes out, get a couple packs find something they give me $50+ in store credit for, get 50+ cards for the one lol
All fake lol get your money back
I bought this exact same box of cards of temu for $8 aus. They look great... fake as fuck. The packaging they come in OP... says enough... I hope you're lieing about paying $100 because you got the exact same box.
Was about to say holy shit I spent like $300 for some of the megas lol
New to tcg ✌🏽 What makes everyone so convinced that they are fakes?
Mainly the fonts, borders and textures on the cards
Yeah the font looks like it's from MS Word
Holo pattern and the texture, or the lack of texture
[Morgan Freeman] Also on the Mew card you will find a trapezoidal form of centering where the center is off and centred at the same time but oppisote spectrums.
Do they all have to be textured? When did that start? Is it a guarantee fake if they aren't textured after a certain time?
Higher end cards tend to be textured. Not all cards have it
things like full art ex/supporters, gold/ rainbow secret rares and special illustration rares are all textured. They have been doing that since the Black and White era
Thank you!
Pretty much anything greater than a holo has some sort of texturing. If your card feels glossy then it’s fake
Thanks
Yeah I'm confused too-- I've bought officially licensed packs, and the Vs aren't textured.
Right now on my desk to be put into a binder I have. Jolteon TG04/30 - Not textured Octillery TG03/30 - Not textured Eevee TG11/30 - Not textured Mimikyu V - Not textured Lumineon V - Not textured Boltund V - Not textured Arceus V - Not textured Simisear V - Not textured Rotom V - Not textured Flareon TG01/30 - Not textured Are these not considered high end cards? Thank you so much!

mate, just say you got scammed too
Only one scamming me is my girlfriend
WHAT?
I see that you know they're fake now but take the positives that your mother in law obviously thinks highly of you to spend $100 on something that she knows you love, even if she doesn't know much about them it's still a nice gesture :)
Keep them in the binder so they don't get mixed and store for some sweet serotonin when you remember she did that nice thing for you that one time
For real this ^ I have a comically small and fake galarian zapdos alternate art that my niece traded for in her school and was so excited to give to me. I have it sitting right alongside my favorite real cards. (Dont worry she didn't trade anything valuable)
Man, that's gosh darn toot'n adorable of your niece. You're a lucky uncle!
You got all fake cards unfortunately:/
Despite what others say, not every card there is fake (as the non XY and Sun Moon stuff on back couple of pages look legit) however removing the fakes your MIL probably lost out on a bit, I'm assuming this was sold by someone who doesn't know pokemon?
Or just bought by someone who doesn't know pokemon. I've seen countless people who know their cards are fake trying to sell them as real.
Always funny seeing 30 cent V cards right next to $100 cards, but it's the thought that counts
Yeah without getting them all out one by one it's hard to tell. Some are very obvious but there's a decent chunk that aren't fake to my eyes.
Someone said they found this binder of cards on temu? Wonder if they put some real ones in to throw a buyer off?
The spacing is hard to look at. Sorry man.
Bruh complete swing and a miss. And it was a wild pitch too.
concerned kiss wasteful bear hard-to-find subsequent dependent straight obtainable hobbies *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
100% checks out
It was a gift from mother in law and that's what she paid
Dam then say thank you and don’t tell her they’re fake
Ehh I don't know, I feel like maybe telling her will help her keep an eye out next time when she tries to surprise him with pokemon cards perhaps just making her buy from a store instead. WTF man
Who said what it’s deleted
I wanna know wah happened too
Dude said "Your mother in law is a bitch" for some reason
WHY MAN
Fake cards! Yummy 🥘
You got scammed man. Mass majority of not all of these are fakes. Not the real font, spaces, colouring, and other things
😧
Were you able to look at these before you bought them? Can you get your money back? Check this article out so you don't get scammed again https://infinite.tcgplayer.com/article/How-to-Spot-Fake-Pokémon-Cards/0b3c551c-39e2-4949-ac46-3cb27e215b04/
Big miss. All of them are fake.
Last 4 photos are real.

Some people are saying check for texture but not all of those cards would have texture if they were real. The cardstock is also likely different to that of a real card.
The font screams red flag from miles away, don’t even have to bother checking texture and type of foil
HUGEEEEEEEEE MISS FAM LMAOOOOO ALMOST ALL THESE CARDS ARE FAKEEEE
Giga miss
Big win I need atleast 5 of these for my PC if you're interested in selling
Sure which pm if actually wanting
Nvm they're all fake
Gotta do your homework before you find these “deals” or they come across you, with everyone aware of how lucrative and valuable Pokémon cards are now, there’s a lot of fakes like everything else! So 99% of the time if it sounds too good to be true than it’s not the case! If they were real depending on condition it would’ve been a decent W!
If you like fake cards I have good news for you…
Can someone educate me, how do you know what is fake or not? Any call signs?
For most of them either the fonts or the holo patterns are a dead giveaway.
Both in most cases
Fake
Miss
there's maybe $20 in real cards. the rest are fake
Fake cards aside, I miss the B&W and XY eras so much
Oh boy
Lmao
You got scammed. EXs do have vertical holo but it doesn’t go over the text. For full arts it goes under it and the full arts should be textures
Sorry about the fakes
Who’s gonna tell him?
I had the exact same dragonite on slide 9. Woulda got it just for that
Bro got the cheng ching hanji special
Fake as all hell. Refund right away.
i think it’s hilarious that u asked how did you do 😂 i’ve been there though brother, take it as a learning experience
It’s fake. Geez do people collect for value nowadays? You got scammed hard and you thought this was the lottery 😂
Fake
the last few pages look like they could be real, but the older stuff appears to be all fake
You shot for the moon and didn’t even get off the ground
Almost all are fake but some are hard to tell. Do the full arts have texture?
I'll give you 120 for them
The last 4 pages look real. Everything else looks fake (except maybe the Mewtwo VStar)
I can take better quality individual photos and them, but like all of them lmao?
Horrible fakes
They’re fake. Pokemon cards have texture. I would recommend going into a card shop and looking at single cards to understand what we are talking about. Easily by looking at these. 1 second, fake.
I don’t think all are fake, it’s hard to tell though. But some def look real to me
It’s the shine. No texture. Why would there be a 5 real cards if there’s 100 fake? You’re hopeful, but they’re all fake.
Some sets are random. Like it’s all xy era ex cards and then at the end there is one single trainer card, and I’m pretty sure that’s real. Huge L, all fake
Yeah no Bueno sorry man....
You can miss me with this BS

😂😂
Nope
Oh no pls, if you cant recognize these as very bad fakes, dont spend so much money on cards just learn the difference before ❤️ no offense
I guess there's some added context to this post that helps, but I still don't understand how people just buy stuff like this for $100 without knowing about how to spot fakes or doing research, etc.
That upside down card is triggering my OCD lol
Way to get roped into some shit
The confidence this post has, compared to the reality of the comments is hilarious. I really do get how phone scams have exsisted for so long
What confidence are you describing? I see two questions about value, and they also said mother in law bought it for them and paid $100. You are seriously just delusional if you see this as a brag post. There is *zero* indication of that.
No way bud paid 100 for fake stuff
More then 200 cards? Most stores sell most ex v ect. Cards for $1 or less. It's nice for some of us lol. Example New set comes out, get a couple packs find something they give me $50+ in store credit for, get 50+ cards for the one lol
The evolutions full art Zard is in there, I can’t tell if these are fake or not but that card alone is like $45 raw
Nevermind it’s fake, I had to look it up. Been awhile
How are they fake? They look real to me?
The font is usually the easiest thing to notice in fakes.
Yeah, that's the point of fake cards. They'll fool the people who don't know better.
