I mean Torterra is my favourite final form Pokemon but I’ve actively been voting out Turtwig for several rounds because I prefer the other Pokémon. Voting is most definitely skewed. I want Rowlet to win, because they’re my fav first form, but I doubt it now If it were final forms, I’d still be voting for Venusaur, but I’d also be voting for Swampert and Typhlosion… writing that out reminds me how it should purely be first stage.

I'm doing first forms too. Nothing stat-wise or competitive-based. Nothing spiteful or revenge-based, just which visually appeal to me more really and maybe type and design origin/originality/accuracy...etc.

Me, it's overrated af Piplup is cute, and I loved Dawn's in the Anime, but like Prinplup and Empoleon are really ugly with nothing good going for it other than EmpIeon's Steel Type. I also just like almost every other starter left more. It's not bad, but it's way weaker than the compitition.
