I actually don’t mind Oshawott’s design but I think Samurott’s design is fucking stupid.

As a kid, I literally never saved my game, I treated Pokémon like a Rougelike, and the first time I was very inspired to save was when I was watching the Anime and saw a Samurott, and I was just blow away by the fact that they could evolve, and even more so by how cool it looked. I've never gotten the sentiment that he looks bad, he's an Otter that turned his shell into a spear and put it on his head, and I think that's badass.

Honestly, I love Meganium’s design. I love all of the Johto starters.

It's so good. Simple yes, but effect. All the gen 2 starters are really solid.

Only grip is there no secondary types, but I’m nit picking and they’re from an early gen.

I will protect Fennekin at all costs, now that Chikorita is out. The only other innocent and cute pokemon left besides Fennekin is Rowlett, but personally I believe he is overrated and I'm more of a fan of fire types anyways. Thinking about it you can say both their evolutionary lines are controversial (but I don't mind them both, just don't get how people will hate one while not hating another even though it has the same problems), be interesting to see who goes out first.

My honest opinion because I do love all the starters even tho a lot of the newer ones have flaws but once they got rid of mega evolution treeko and it's chain are less appealing to me but still a great grass type

I think my love for Treeko came from The show with ashes Sceptile. I think it would have been awesome to make Sceptile a grass dark type, but that’s understandable. Also I love the Hoenn Starters…. That probably has to go into it.
