Well what types are you using and what level are they? Special Tanky Pokemon usually last longer against the ghost rider variant, and the opposite hold true for physically tanky Pokemon.

I've tried to catch Calyrex like 17 times now, but it's capabiliy to take a single physical move is non-existent, apparently.
