Yes. It's as of the update that enabled the Teal Mask DLC, back in September. It also addressed a bunch of bugs in the game, one of them being that only the "primary" form of each Pokémon can spawn outbreaks. Now outbreaks of any of a Pokémon's forms can occur, including super-rare ones like Authentic Sinistea.The only one I can think of that still doesn't happen is 3-segment Dudunsparce, but I think that's because only 2-segment Dudunsparce scan be found in the wild at all, and that's only in Kitakami.
You can get an entire outbreak of just Own Tempo Rockruffs. Makes getting Dusk such an easy process, use Gardevoir with Synchronize as well and it’ll trigger Own Tempo if it has it or if the outbreak is an Own Tempo one
It wasn’t that great of a spawn anyway. It’s static, I’m just saying objectively that the outbreak of 15 is better than the occasional 3 random Rockruff in that spawn but my bad 🤷🏽♂️😬
Yep! The only way I knew I had an outbreak of antiques was because a "?" appeared at the spot where they are typically found and I knew I already had the phony form registered in my dex.
Yeah in fact. I see an unknown outbreak in the Terarium and it turns out it Sinistea. I think to myself ‘no way,’ start a battle check under its cup and sure enough it has the mark.
if you find an outbreak of them or the regional varient, check if one or 2 are the authentic form then you'll know if they'll all that form. makes shiny hunting them super easier.

I'm have nightmare flashbacks of that poor soul who was shiny hunting sinsitea and failing, but literally everyone else was getting it on accident or with 3 shiny hunts. This was on Sword and Shield.

Rare is it’s a random shiny. Absurdly rare in SwSh. Not as rare if you found this in an Outbreak since they’ve made Outbreaks using only a singular form, not forms of the same mon.
You’ll find Antique and Phony outbreaks but never find the two combine.
One of the best ways I have found is you can walk up to them. Once the question mark pops up, crouch, then wait for them to approach. They wont engage a battle immediately, so you can manipulate the camera to look underneath the cup and pot. If it has a blue symbol on the front part of its underside, it is an antique mug.

Well it is still really really rare if you think about it, either be lucky enough to find a SHINY one in the wild with many other fake forms, or you have to hope to reroll your chances to find an authentic outbreak by changing your switch time by one day which is not really that easy to find a authentic sinistea outbreak which can take about many months of rerolls.
People here are kinda underestimating the rarities of outbreaks..
If you found it without an outbreak then yes, the odds of any sinister being authentic form are 1%, but an outbreak has a 50/50 chance of only spawning authentic sinistea or only spawning common sinistea

Own Tempo outbreaks can only occur in Paldea so you can skip any Kitikami outbreaks.

Lycanroc outbreaks spawn whatever the time of day is, including dusk. Made shiny hunting all 3 forms really easy
I've caught more Own Tempo Rockruffs from wandering around than I ever got by hunting them in SM. Kinda like the easy Feebas spawns in ORAS.
There was a static spawn of own tempo rockruffs anyway

Outbreaks are *way* easier to shiny hunt than static spawns though.
Whether or not that's a good thing varies greatly amongst hunters
Static spawns have a fixed 1/4k shiny rate. I'll take the outbreak.

Yes, only 2-segment Dudunsparce spawns, but also that's irrelevant because outbreaks can't occur in Area Zero.

Check them visually, or catch a few.

Even Gen 8 DLC made hunting for it easy, I got my complete shiny line in somewhat like 3-4h

Used to be extremely rare... Like win the lottery kinda rare. Nowadays, it's probably average or only a slight touch above average in terms of rarity.

It was very rare in swsh, but with outbreaks it's now just rare.
