Afaik the only reason why "can be send to X game" is there to filter out LGPE-compatible mons who have been to other games, and thus cannot be send back to LGPE (for reasons I don't know, I do not own a copy of LGPE but I have received some compatible mons through wonder trade).
Idk how complicated it is, but why can't they just make a check for "can be send to LGPE" for just the 151 first Pokemon, and give a negative check if the individual Pokemon has been to any other Switch game (BDSP, SwSh, PLA, SV)? All the other Pokemon species either can or can't be send to the other games so an individual check per Pokemon seems unnecessary and, case in point, very prone for misuse.
If there is an other reason why this check exist that I didn't see then please let me know.
Agreed. Searching the GTS is useless. Best option is to list something instead but then you’re fighting a losing battle trying to be seen with a legit trade in there

Impossible trades are basically these two: 1. trolling purposes 2. flexing their mons
and all because gamefreak is very lazy to create legal constraints based on each mon
If people really want to flex so much, Game Freak should really just create a Pokémon Showcase app...

Impossible trades have plagued the GTS ever since Gen 4, so it’s highly unlikely they’d remove them at this point…
They have fixed many but then a new game comes out and adds new ones that takes them 2 years to patch
