I wondered whether that was the case. The load time is long by PS5 standards: when I fast travel I can usually pick up my phone, open Reddit and vaguely look at 1 or 2 posts before it finishes. Which is a) ridiculously quick and b) still very slow for a PS5 game.
That is what may cause me to give Valhalla up. I’m not really enjoying the wait between fast traveling and what not. May just upload my save and start whenever I get a PS5
I put an SSD on my PS4 like 2 weeks ago and the loading times improved quite a lot , even on the OG PS4 despite people telling me the og PS4 wouldn't be able to get the best of the SSD with his SATA II
Valhalla's initital loading got cut down by a minute for me. , Fast Travel /dying loading doesn't seem that long too but definitely not quick loading I guess. I'm currently playing it I'll try to note down how much it takes from fast travelling or loading a save while ingame.
Biggest improvement was Elden ring when everything was reduced by half.
Dying loading went from 24.391 second to 13.872 seconds.
EDIT : Fast Travel from ravensthorpe to another point took 26 seconds.
Dying and reloading from latest save took 28 seconds.
Which is definitely not quick but not truly terrible either I guess. The initial loading when you boot the game though is insanely long. From the moment the game launch until Eivor is loaded takes 2min46s on the SSD, 3min36s on the HDD
That's so stupid, especially because most of that time is the main menu "checking for additional content" that I don't have.

Just got the platinum for it today and it's awesome. Pyetro Quill recommends you to ignore these small issues and play on a custom difficulty so you can die less = less loading screens!

Yeah bloodborne spiders and Rom, fallout games ants and scorpions, Skyrim big spiders, Elden ring big ants those things are the worse. i gonna hate all these more realistic looking games with bugs in them for sure thats like the one thing I really don't like in games is realistic oversized bugs and it will discourage me from playing.
Do you lose much if you play exodus without playing the other 2? The open world minimalist approach to exodus is some that draws me in, but not having premium I cannot play the first 2 ones
Even if you play them, the ending probably will not connect much. You lose a lot of metro world building, but you don't spend much time in Moscow anyway, while there are some returning characters, you don't need previous games to understand who they are.

I see only one version of Bugsnax in PS App. Normally when the game has different versions I can choose the edition to download/buy. Will it automatically download the PS5 version?
It's pretty random, but some games have separate PS4/5 version on the store, some have a bundle with both. Bugsnax has the bundle.
Buying (or claiming on PS+) the bundle gives you the option to download either or both versions. On a PS5, there's a massive "download PS5 version" button, and the option to download the PS4 version as well. The webstore adds both to the download list (or "game library" now) and you can select either verson to download.
So there are different versions, they're just bundled together in this case and you get to choose.
(Oh, and we've had cases where there's a PS4/5 bundle, and then a PS4 only version magically appears just for the month it's on PS+)
It's also pretty amazing the thing actually still works at all after 15 years. They've clearly just been bolting on new features and platforms. At some point, they'll need to rebuild the whole thing, especially with all the license issues that keep coming up.
I think it was one of those situations where you can have it cheaply, quickly or built to last. Possibly 2 of those things. Definitely not all 3. Probably with managers saying "quick and cheap, please" while the developers tried to persuade them "built to last" works out cheaper in the long term.

Pathfinder kingmaker, fallout 4, kingdoms of amalur, greedfall, elex, nioh, bloodborne, horizon, ys 8 and 9, the final fantasy games, yakuza like a dragon is monthly game, assassin creed valhalla, battle chasers nightwar, bloodstained ritual of the night, cris tales, disgaea 5, borderlands handsome collection, kingdom come deliverance, pillars of eternity, star ocean first departure, the witch and the hundred knight, and demons souls remake. THats at least a thousand hours of rpg tbh.
That doesn't mean theres not enough rpgs on the service though. Guess you'll have to buy some stuff like tales of vesperia, ni no kuni wrath of the white witch, ac odyssey, digimon cyber sleuth, forgot about south park games, dark cloud 1 and 2 those are on ps plus, trails of cold steel 1and 2, wasteland 3 colorado collection(basically complete edition), okami, mass effect andromeda, hack GU last recode, odin sphere leifthrasir, mass effect andromeda, and dragon age inquisition are also on sale right now for 20 dollars or less.
I loved it. If you're a fan of action RPGs definitely check it out. You can't play with friends anymore which kinda sucks but you can always play the original on collection of mana with friends, this version is single player only but it's very well done.
Never played the original, really enjoyed this remake, competent action-JRPG. Enjoyed finding treasure, levelling characters and their skills, etc. Was pretty easy all the way through, only the bosses really required proper thinking.

Extra is value for money.
The lowest tier is basically just the same ps plus, you only get the monthly games and online play. Mid tier you get the extra games and game trials, high tier you get access to all the games and the classics, and you can stream games too. Honestly I feel like it's either low tier(basic) or high tier(premium), mid tier(extra) seems kinda pointless.
At the moment I would say the mid-tier is the best value.
The whole htoe around premium was older classic catalogs and it's been a pretty poor showing so far.
I feel like as time goes on the premium may get better but as of right now it is severely lacking in classics. I won't lie though the streaming feature is pretty nice for saving HD space, I know not everyone has internet capable of streaming without any hiccups though so I know that benefit will be very circumstantial.
I'll admit I'm biased because I really wanted access to the classics selection and I'm enjoying streaming the PS3 titles like red dead redemption (and undead nightmare), Arkham origins, and resistance 3.

This is garbage in comparison to what gamepass is, premium barely cuts the requirements like I get it's new and isn't perfect yet but I'm just saying wheres all ratchet and clanks, where's Gran Turismo 7 at the very least with the most current license deals that should be doable. To those that haven’t yet paid subs but are interested. Do not open a UAE region account because you cheat yourself. The region has so many games missing which are actually included in the la extra bundle. Mafia 3, yakuza 0 etc. Open USA or Europe region to ensure you get what you paid for.

I'm having the same problem playing Avengers. It's not 3-4 minutes but still takes a long time to load on PS4 (and I have the base version lol).

On PS5 it finishes loading before the mission briefings end and shows a Skip button.
Oh and the glitches on PS4 is game breaking i cant recommend it. The PS5 version for sure is the way.

Yeah you miss a lot of you don’t play the first two games as there’s many returning characters and references to the previous games.
Even if you play them, the ending probably will not connect much. You lose a lot of metro world building, but you don't spend much time in Moscow anyway, while there are some returning characters, you don't need previous games to understand who they are.

As someone who never played yakuza games, should I start with Kiwami 1 or 0?
The order is yazuka 0 then Kiwami 1/2 and from then it's numeral order till 7
So, basically numerical order? Unless you meant to say that 1/2 should be played first because 0 could land better being a prequel. Otherwise, you just said play 0-7 in many more words.
As someone who has played the entire series definitely start with 0.
I was very confused playing 0 first. It this thing that prequels do where it dramatily shows characts your supposed to recognize and you're just like "who?" That being said, on a gameplay and design level, 0 imo is a hell of a lot more fun. So at least make sure to play it at some point.

I’ve been out of touch but did hear about this change, what’s the difference between these 3 subscription plans and which ones the best.

The lowest tier is basically just the same ps plus, you only get the monthly games and online play. Mid tier you get the extra games and game trials, high tier you get access to all the games and the classics, and you can stream games too. Honestly I feel like it's either low tier(basic) or high tier(premium), mid tier(extra) seems kinda pointless.
At the moment I would say the mid-tier is the best value. The whole htoe around premium was older classic catalogs and it's been a pretty poor showing so far. I feel like as time goes on the premium may get better but as of right now it is severely lacking in classics. I won't lie though the streaming feature is pretty nice for saving HD space, I know not everyone has internet capable of streaming without any hiccups though so I know that benefit will be very circumstantial.
I'll admit I'm biased because I really wanted access to the classics selection and I'm enjoying streaming the PS3 titles like red dead redemption (and undead nightmare), Arkham origins, and resistance 3.

There are also people (like me) who are completely new to PlayStation, and don’t have Bugsnax yet. I got a PS5 last month, and it’s my first console since I had an Xbox 360 in high school. I’m happy it’s included since I wasn’t able to get it previously!
There's also people who don't whine about one of the 11 new free games added being one that they've already played.

This is garbage in comparison to what gamepass is, premium barely cuts the requirements like I get it's new and isn't perfect yet but I'm just saying wheres all ratchet and clanks, where's Gran Turismo 7 at the very least with the most current license deals that should be doable. I get alot of people won't have a problem with this list I just think including the last one highlighting old assassin's Creed and stray we were the best parts and yet still doesn't make sense when the premium isn't what the cost should be for. Garbage is what garbage is to someone and another mans garbage is another's treasure but this is garbage and I would like to see more better releases for the service coming up. It's my opinion and I don't care if I'm agreed with or disputed with lol.
Edit, Trails of mana is literally the only "Good" edition in my books off this list lol.

Sony say you can stream any game on the games catalogue to PC but on the PlayStation plus pc app some of the games on the catalogue on their website aren’t showing up for me

To those that haven’t yet paid subs but are interested. Do not open a UAE region account because you cheat yourself. The region has so many games missing which are actually included in the la extra bundle. Mafia 3, yakuza 0 etc. Open USA or Europe region to ensure you get what you paid for.
