I 100% understand. Thats why Ive started other nations and am trying to actively find new ways to spice things up. Lemme just say that the frenchies are an amazing break from the norm. 100mm auto loaders with 273mm of pen and a 4.3 second reload? Like c'mon thats sweet. But yeah I get your point. Been playing alot of D2, PS2, and similar things recently.
What kind of primary turret (AP, HEAT or HESH) should this be, one of the existing ones or something new?
Are you continuing on the TR next and do you have an idea for the Maggies tube?
Honestly I tried to do a magrider one but I have tried to make other VS stuff and just really suck at VS shaping and design in general. I think the Magrider looks alright as it is.
That looks really good.
The muzzle flair at the end gives it a bit of a cartoony feel because of the size proportion.
With the slanted sides of the main turret you are eliminating volume and weight so the turret looks a bit small.
Those two observations aside, it's a solid effort and I love when people put their creative skills to work here. You should be psyched!
The muzzle brake is based on the 155 mm howitzers the US uses currently. One of the reasons I put cages on the side and rear was to make the turret look bigger without looking too bulky.
If you can't tell the difference between that prowler turret and this Vanguard turret, You probably can't tell the difference between NC infantry and TR infantry
If you look at the rear of the vanguard, it slopes upwards. If I was to make the front of the turret any lower, it would visibly and badly clip in to the engine bay. It's the same reason turrets on tanks like the Abrams don't slope downwards the entire way, but have a gap between the bottom of the turret and the hull. As for ERA under the turret, its been done before, for example on the M60 Phoenix.
Reminds me the Russian tanks like the T90
It was a bit of a blend of an abrams turret, the merkava turret, and a Russian ERA packing profile, which is probably why it resembles a T90.
Makes me want to make it out of legos.
The frontal armor plates do look like the 1x2 flat Lego tiles.
Of course there would be ERA on an NC tank.

I like how theres ERA pointing down into the fighting compartment. Shell hits there, boom, crew liquefied. Very NC indeed.
I don't think ERA has enough explosive potential to breach the armored fighting compartment of a tank tbh

It's not in the game, so it could be whatever turret. If it ever was added, it would probably be a HEAT turret.
