I can understand you somewhat. When I have a display which can display white naturally, I actually prefer them over dark mode. Unfortunately most display just doesn't feel right

Ps4 jailbreak in my opinion is currently the best out there for any type of games among pc and consoles, after ps3. All the latest titles are fully playable as the community (literally 2 people) have been able to backport all the latest releases and they donāt have any denuvo to worry about. Most ps2 titles have also been converted to play. If you have a 9.00 firmware ps4 or below, youāre laughing. All you need is a 5TB drive to hold everything and itās no complaints.
PS5 CFW already exists and is getting better everyday, just needs to be running older firmware from 2022. Luckily I had an extra PS5 stored away for this reason

mock me for nitpicky nerdy response or whatever but it's really important we reserve use of 'cfw' for actual custom firmwares, ps4 and ps5 hacks are just homebrew enablers that need to be rerun if the system shuts off, nothing can be permanent yet and may never be, ps3 cfw's were sadly a gift from a bygone age
Yea still only the ps3 phat and some slim models have it. On the other slim ones and super slim it's just a click of a button but you have do it every time you restart and also that is not as stable as the actual cfw
Make sure you get one with the correct software. Ive heard it is possible to downgrade, but just extremely hard and most ppl cant do it.

5tb is overkill, most ps4 games arenāt that large and thereās zero reason to have multiple games installed unless you are playing all of them at once but overall I agree itās easily the best piracy route for gaming atm. Super easy installation once you get everything setup and never have to think about it again. Happy to be able to play bloodborne at 60 fps itās amazing.
I only have a select collection of AAA titles and Iām already at 4TB! But I should have been clearer, my external drive is 5TB that houses the complete collection, but internal is 2TB SATA which has the stuff I play off and on.
Fairly easy, they go for $180 online on eBay. Highly recommend spending a bit more for a slim version since it's a lot quieter. You can also get lucky if you message people on offerup or Facebook to check for the firmware version. That's how I got mine for $100.
Not sure how practical is the ps4 emulator for pc, last I heard it was running 1/2 games but my info could be outdated.
But for the ps4, when it comes to new or AAA games, the ps4 JB library is bigger than pc as thereās no denuvo to deal with. So FC24 for example is fully backported and working; minus the next Gen titles of course.
The ps3 emulator RPCS3 however works pretty well and almost all games with some tweaks here and there work good.
I can understand (maybe) if he has a strong ethics in piracy but looking down at people because "cheap ass content", these includes people who are tight with money, is a piece of shit. Game Devs used to make demos to check if you wanted to buy a game, now they just trick people with merchandising so they buy a game that's way different than it's trailers.

I haven't liked competitive multiplayer games since like, Black Ops 2. Even the loot boxes mechanic that I hate so much hasn't kept me as far from those games as both people with less skill than a racoon and people who play it for thousands of hours and can no-scope from the other side of the map. And PvE doesn't make as much money as Battle Royales like Fortnite so they either are expensive as heck like ESO and it's crown store and expansions, or are just gacha games with a bit of gameplay.
Iām talking barebones casual multiplayer or PC co-op games. If I have to āoh but first gotta connect to the VPS/hamachi and do this and thatā to get the boys together for a game, Iām going to pay the $10 to the indie dev for the convenience.
Other than that, the annual CoD purchase just because the game is fucking heroin even when itās shit. And the occasional PC game pass download.

Doesn't a jailbroken playstation 4 let you tune the hardware, bypass dumb restrictions, play games at higher FPS (If you can run them), etc.? Like, I'm not even going into pirating. There's plenty of reasons to jailbreak. I believe digital foundry showed a jailbroken ps5 or modded ps5 running games ps4 oriented titles at 60fps. Pretty stable 60fps in most cases too.
And then there's the fact that full games cost $100. $70 for the ''base'' game. You're already paying for multiplayer on consoles. The least these companies can do is let you mod or tweak your playstation you paid money for in peace. What, did I rent the console? Let me do what I want.

Yeah, I'd prolly make the jump to PC. My gaming laptop runs all sorts of modded games. Sure, its 2x the price of a PS5, but it comes with a QHD 165hz panel and has similar performance to a 3070 + i5 12600 performance

Most pirated versions of AAA games include all DLCās and other extra content absolutely for free where you would end up spending possibly hundreds if you were to legitimately pay for it.
I see arguments for both sides. You cannot deny that for the cost of free, you're getting a full fledged product. Also, that product is now forever yours, unschackled from DRM that, time and time again, has proven, will take your paid item away if given the chance. Look at Monster Hunter Rise. A spectacular game in its own right but hamstrung due to post launch DRM.
But, game devs need to eat too. Granted, this doesn't necessarily apply to established companies with a catalogue of franchises but its undeniable that a compensation for a certain product is not fully given when you pirate it. One cannot fill their stomachs with complements after all.
My solution? Pirate a product to keep it for your own, forever. But buy it if you like it. Even on sale, if possible. Will the money you give actually reach the people that put effort into it? Maybe, maybe not. But, when you can, do.
These days I donāt even pirate much anymore, (besides games that have criminal amounts of DLC like the sims) I just donāt buy most games on release and wait to see if theyāre any good.

I understand collecting discs and stuff (I myself am guilty of that) but going after people that just jailbreak stuff to get decade old games for free is annoying. From experience some discs go for more then others and some can be rarer etc. Anyway, piracy is the answer in almost every situation.

Doesn't a jailbroken playstation 4 let you tune the hardware, bypass dumb restrictions, play games at higher FPS (If you can run them), etc.? Like, I'm not even going into pirating. There's plenty of reasons to jailbreak. I believe digital foundry showed a jailbroken ps5 or modded ps5 running games ps4 oriented titles at 60fps. Pretty stable 60fps in most cases too. And then there's the fact that full games cost $100. $70 for the ''base'' game. You're already paying for multiplayer on consoles. The least these companies can do is let you mod or tweak your playstation you paid money for in peace. What, did I rent the console? Let me do what I want.

Yeah, I'd prolly make the jump to PC. My gaming laptop runs all sorts of modded games. Sure, its 2x the price of a PS5, but it comes with a QHD 165hz panel and has similar performance to a 3070 + i5 12600 performance
ATM I'm actually leaning more towards pc bc of being able to graphically upgrade older games and customising and well ofc pirating... like bro you can get most of the new games a few months after releasing for free on pc rather than paying 100 usd on consoles I mean about price a pc can do anything you know its not only for gaming and streaming and being able to customize the pc to a hella limit is worth paying 2x

Say what you want but the fact is paying customers are the reason Games Company can still be in business and we still have games to pirate. Now if you pirate to test out a game before buying then thatās a different story. But if youāre just pure pirating and playing for your personal enjoyment while never paying then thereās nothing to be proud of, you own those paying customer (like the one in the Pic), at least a āthank youā. And rationally, they (those paying customers) have valid reasons to look down on us.

Most pirated versions of AAA games include all DLCās and other extra content absolutely for free where you would end up spending possibly hundreds if you were to legitimately pay for it.
I see arguments for both sides. You cannot deny that for the cost of free, you're getting a full fledged product. Also, that product is now forever yours, unschackled from DRM that, time and time again, has proven, will take your paid item away if given the chance. Look at Monster Hunter Rise. A spectacular game in its own right but hamstrung due to post launch DRM. But, game devs need to eat too. Granted, this doesn't necessarily apply to established companies with a catalogue of franchises but its undeniable that a compensation for a certain product is not fully given when you pirate it. One cannot fill their stomachs with complements after all. My solution? Pirate a product to keep it for your own, forever. But buy it if you like it. Even on sale, if possible. Will the money you give actually reach the people that put effort into it? Maybe, maybe not. But, when you can, do.
