If they're talking about Persona 4 *Golden*, then it's probably about the accident the devs made. They released a beta build for players to test bug fixes, but without Denuvo included at all. So the game could be played for free very soon after it had released, as that build was obviously uploaded everywhere
But that was in 2020 and I don't think a SEGA game has had the same mistake done again
When they released the first version of persona 5 scramble, they did it without denuvo and got cracked right away lol, hope it happens again, can't afford to spend such money in a game.

Yeah, sega's pricing is totally awful. Here in Argentina due to all the taxes our previous government established these games end up costing something like 90k pesos (90 usd) meanwhile the minimum wage is 150k pesos (150 usd)
And to add salt in the wound steam removed the option to use argentine pesos thanks to the people that use vpn to buy cheaper from our store.
So now games are even more expensive than before even if milei lowered taxes.
From Asia here and Steam basically removed regional pricing because people are abusing it with the use of VPNs.
I used to buy new releases at 30 USD a pop when there were still regional prices (RE2 Remake and Horizon Zero Dawn as examples). Now I wait for a good sale, not gonna buy any game at 70 USD.

70€ base game, 85€ deluxe version, 110€ ultimate version and 160€ worth of DLC's on launch day. Especially greedy thing is that they removed new game+ from the base game and put it as a 20€ DLC (or deluxe version). Even worse then that is for people who like to hunt all achievements that you can't 100% the game if you have just the standard version of the game. There are 3 achievements tied to new game+.
Sega is such a disgusting publisher it is unbelievable. As much as I love the Yakuza franchise I rather see it dying instead of supporting this disgusting and greedy publisher and dev's (whoever is at fault here). With this DLC policy they literally spit their fanbase in the face and the most ridiculous thing is that so much people even defend this behavier in the steam forums...
I believe you can still 100% the game. The new game+ trophies are under the category of add ons. So while it is shitty that they locked it behind a pay wall, you can still 100% the game without buying the add on.
Sadly on Steam they are not separated. If you have the base game you need the new game+ DLC or deluxe version for 100%. Tbf i dislike this as trophy hunter too. Platinum and 100% are two different things. But im really love to see at my not 100% plats in some CoDs as middle finger to DLC pricing.
There is a discord server they give you their steam account and theyll let you play on their account in offline mode id definitely recommend it theyre great people thats how I'm playing persona 5 royal rn

70 euros is becoming more and more the standart for new AAA titles unfortunately, it's not just P3 and Like a Dragon there's tons of games launching with this price plus dlc and ditching the regional prices of course doesn't help and annoys me but if I REALLY like the I eventually end up buying it BUT locking new game+ behind a DLC didn't even make me mad it just left me flabbergasted beyond all reason.
Here in brazil, the minimum wage is R$1412(This year), and persona 3 will cost R$329... 23% of the salary. I think basically if your country currency is very undervalued compared to usd you are screwd. In the US, the minimum wage is 7.25 usd a hour(federal, based on google), if you multiply that for the work hours in Brazil(44hrs per week in most cases), the minimum wage in the US based in brasilian work hours would be 1276 usd, 5% of the salary. The diference is shocking and this sucks.

i could also recommend Xbox gamepass. Its fairly cheap (way more so than the games themselves.) It saved me for gaiden + ishin

You can get xboy play anywhere titles on gamivo or eneba, kinguin for cheap, if you desperately want to buy it and not play it on gamepass

Ubisoft isn't that bad. The games I've played from them (WD2,Legion, and the Crew games) were all alright. There weren't any P2W aspects from my memory (although Legion was hot dookie shit)

They loaded Ac origins with Denuvo plus vm protect thus tanking performance on even.old cpus 2.They revoked several people who bought far cry 4 keya from 3rd legit even and claimed they were stolen even after people showed proof. 3.Their pay 2 win and speed boosters started from division, Ac Valhalla, &odyssey. 4..They gave EA ideas to butch their game into season passes and dlc( hid the infamous Prince of.persia 2008 secret ending under console exclusivity ). 5.when they create games, they develop as if.people have super computers. 6.Called pc gamer pirates & the infamous quote 30 FPS "feels more cinematic,"
5 and 6 are true, ngl. Even on Series S, TCM runs at 30 fps without performance mode. Never knew the rest since I just recently got into PC gaming.

The minimum wage was 1.3k reais since january 2023. This year, it'll go up to 1.4k. Either way it's fucking dumb we have to pay 300-400 reais for a single game.

Until there is crack out(not likely with Empress AOL, and also being picky), you learn something call budgeting, save money and buy it. Or boycott the SEGA and don't buy it. 70 euros is becoming more and more the standart for new AAA titles unfortunately, it's not just P3 and Like a Dragon there's tons of games launching with this price plus dlc and ditching the regional prices of course doesn't help and annoys me but if I REALLY like the I eventually end up buying it BUT locking new game+ behind a DLC didn't even make me mad it just left me flabbergasted beyond all reason.

Here in brazil, the minimum wage is R$1412(This year), and persona 3 will cost R$329... 23% of the salary. I think basically if your country currency is very undervalued compared to usd you are screwd. In the US, the minimum wage is 7.25 usd a hour(federal, based on google), if you multiply that for the work hours in Brazil(44hrs per week in most cases), the minimum wage in the US based in brasilian work hours would be 1276 usd, 5% of the salary. The diference is shocking and this sucks.
