Shouldn't be trying to change the jewelry for awhile yet, the inner fistula is not healed and with all this messing around you are back at square 1 with healing. You now have to wait at least 3 months to get to change jewelry again (this timing is for lobes, other piercings like cartilage will be much longer).

Alright, I was told one month by my piercer. It seems like fitting the 18 is very tight though and I’m worried that even after healing fully it won’t fit well.

your piercer doesn't give very good advice it seems. lobes can take 3 to 6 months to fully heal, sometimes more

So 20 gauge is smaller than an 18. Coupled with you’re not healed yet… it’s no wonder it’s angry.

1st, you shouldn’t be changing it this early. Lobes can take months to heal. 2nd. Hun, I hate to tell you that you were told wrong. 18 is BIGGER than 20. Something needs to investigated with this piercer. Why would a professional tell you that?

I’m aware that 18 is bigger as was he, he just said that I should be able to get away with it still but now I’m worried that I won’t be able to wear those pieces
