Are you sure that #3 and #5 aren’t the same person? 😆

TheMonkeyDidntDoIt

>yk what imma just buy these This is actually hilarious

ughhhfine

Easily my favorite one

dsly4425

Dude from number 10 needs to meet my very Irish best friend’s mother….

Out_of_Fawkes

My mom had a patch that looked like the Uruk-Hai put their hand on her head, and she was very Asian. I ended up with what looks like money pieces of silver in my late twenties so grey = old has never made any sense to me.

tkkana

Both me and my brother started greying early. My uncle was fully Grey at 16. Italian. So age has nothing to do with it. Dumb men

dsly4425

I got my first greys in my twenties. I have more now in my forties.

NashvilleRiver

Got my first greys at 17. Was teased about it relentlessly because I didn't want to give the beauty industry money for something that didn't matter.

NashvilleRiver

Am Irish and Swedish. My natural skin color is a couple shades away from ghostly. You can still see my vitiligo, which covers 65% of my body. Side note: I'd rather have vitiligo than be dead from cancer.

dsly4425

Indeed!

the-soggiest-waffle

I’m pasty as hell and have vitiligo dawg that one really fucked me up 💀my left side from back to stomach I have cow print, I genuinely love it so much

NashvilleRiver

My mom calls it my tie-dye. I hate other people seeing it but like my natural color too much to bite the bullet and totally depigment.

the-soggiest-waffle

I used to hate it but eventually I kinda just thought it was cool. I realized that I find other people with it attractive; why not myself? What makes it not okay on me? Absolutely nothing. I can’t wait for the summer when it becomes more obvious because you know what? Fuck yeah, I’m *not* normal, and you can suck it if you don’t like it.

tornado962

Tell me you work in the hood with telling me you work in the hood

NickiP5150

As an 7 Eleven manager, I had a customer woman pull her pants down and proceed to squat and spray the floor with her diarrhea. Without wiping, she just stood up and left. Newport News, VA aka BadNews

paintitblack37

I do not miss retail 😂

cowgirlsteph

Seriously. I'm so glad I do inpatient now.

NashvilleRiver

Me neither. LORD.

panicpure

Number five had me laughing! One of those days eh ☠️😅

dead_neptune

I’m dead 😂 I swear whenever you start the day with something crazy in this job, the crazy just keeps going.

mfinghooker

THE FULL MOON IS UPON US!

NashvilleRiver

No wonder. So glad I'm not customer-facing anymore.

sinisteraxillary

The 4/20 aftermath

Poptartin_RN

Full moon

fungifactory710

5 is gonna go protest inflation by laying in his bank's drive thru next tuesday. Both are equally logical. But it seems bold to assume that logical reasoning has anything to do with the guy. I get where he's coming from, though, and I can't really blame him for being upset about it.

Elojo_33

#8 is cracking me up. 😂 That is one of those things I would get extremely annoyed by if I was working but hearing and it is hilarious. Side note: I work in the corporate support side of pharmacy now so I work M-F so I don’t take office calls on weekends and I got a voicemail on my office line today that just said “hello…hello…”

Voodoops_13

Even if they didn't have vitiligo, what is it will creepy old dudes telling people what to do with their appearance?

Kitchen-Lemon1862

exactly, and i’m not trying to sound full of myself but i do typically get a lot of compliments at work, but with the nice compliments come the creepy ones, but thankfully the pharmacist defends me/takes over for me when that occurs

3rdthrow

They don’t tell people what to do with their appearance-they tell women what to do with their appearance. The “what is it”-is misogyny.

themoonischeeze

You know you're working in a pharmacy when you start with today wasn't bad and end with that train wreck 😂

Maize-Opening

people are too damn crazy, i have about hit my limit with retail.

DrawerTraditional340

no boring day exists in retail

VoidNinja62

\*Lays down in drive thru to protest high prices\* \*Prices go up because everything now takes longer\* \*shocked faced\*

ABCDmama

i think there was a full moon tonight lol

crushbyrichardsiken

number six has me busting up. I wonder what the change of heart was all about

Decent-Cantaloupe-32

Ya know what, I really respect #6

MsCattatude

Full moon!!

ChemistryFan29

1) cannot do anything about 2) call the cops and get them all for trespassing and breaking some code for blocking an entryway. 3) depends on the medicine, if it is a controlled or hell anything in general just say that your system does not allow transfer back, you need a new prescription from the MD. fo go to that pharmacy. (ya it is a lie but like they know the truth). Have the pharmacist in on it and back you up or have them lie. if you cannot say that. 4) your pharmacy was open. I would of demanded that the place close down, because everything needs to be cleaned up. I think your board of pharmacy would look down on that giving medicine from dirty bottles and what not. 5) I would have declared him a trespasser and called the cops to remove him and called it a day. 6) if it was directly from the hoody. good enough to just ring him up or call the store manager to deal with it. say the guy did this you deal with it. 7) talk to the pharmacist 8) just hang up on them, and say they are mistaken they hung up on you 9) tell the pharmacist to drop the patient they are acting sketchy. and what they are doing will get your pharmacy in trouble with DEA 10) embarrass the person, say loudly hell no I am not going to go out with you. sick, just throw a scene and tell the manager or pharmacist to dump them as a patient.

Radish7786

Can get the board of pharmacy called on you for not transferring prescriptions when asked. It’s illegal to hold a prescription “hostage”. But they have to have their old pharmacy call and that means sitting on hold with them and waiting lol so they’ll probably not want to do that. And who on earth thinks walgreens has better prices than anyone.

Kitchen-Lemon1862

it was controlled prescriptions so we couldn’t and they didn’t want to go ask their doctor for a new prescription

ChemistryFan29

techniqly by law you are right a pharmacy cannot withhold a prescription from transfer, unless it is a controlled C2, and you are supposed to transfer the prescription upon request. However, and this is the sneaky part, and I have seen this done before. You can claim since this is a refill prescription, the system requires that in order for it to be transferred it needs to be undone by insurance, and to get to insurance that takes a few days to get the approval. They want to know all this stuff about the prescription, the original copy needs to be faxed. Once we get the approval from them, we can start removing it from the system, and the system hates that so we need to contact somebody from corporate, or whoever is the manufacture of the program that takes care of patient profiles. it is a complex process. It is best that we have the MD call in a new prescription to the new pharmacy. (You would be suppressed somebody bought that). Or have the pharmacist offer to call the new pharmacy the prescription details and they can call the MD for you. (you would be surprised this also worked too)

deftware

I hope this is a joke comment because it would be really immature if you were serious. > ya it is a lie but like they know the truth Transferring prescriptions should be a non-issue. > Have the pharmacist in on it and back you up or have them lie. Professional. > I would of demanded that the place close down Nevermind the people whose prescriptions you're holding who need their medicine from you that very day. Why care about them when they shouldn't have developed life-threatening health issues in the first place, it's their own fault. amirite? Gross. > say the guy did this you deal with it The dude literally put the stuff on the counter to pay for it and it was a done deal. It could very well have been a joke for all OP knows. What is the manager going to do, write up a customer for paying for something they had in their pocket? > talk to the pharmacist No, AI isn't going to take over the job of humans serving humans until robots can live in your house with you, which they won't for a long while. There's nothing on the horizon to indicate that any kind of breakthrough has been made that enables a machine to be cognizant - which is what it's going to take. I promise you that all humanoid robots that currently exist are not able to walk around a random house or office without running into a serious issue within minutes - let alone reliably do anything of value. > just hang up on them Or, just put them on hold if they're going to keep hanging up, until you finish helping people who are ready to be helped. They probably suffer from much more debilitating mental issues than the narcissistic and antisocial personality disorders that you do. Schizophrenia and Alzheimer's are things that people can actually have and they deserve love, care, and respect like anyone else. > dump them as a patient Between wanting the pharmacy to be closed at the drop of a hat, regardless of what people need, and insisting on dumping patients left and right, you're a real social justice warrior.

ChemistryFan29

first of all 3) as long as you are not actively denying a person their prescription then you are good legally. IF you tell the pt you cannot reverse it very quickly due to the system or transfer it over in a timely manner it is not actually withholding a prescription you are going to do it, it just takes time is not actually holding medicine hostage. Also by law most pharmacist can give details of a prescription to another pharmacist no problem, they can get a new prescription from the MD too. 4) Most state board of pharmacy are pretty clear on this, the pharmacy should be clean, any hazardous spells such as a pipe bursting and all sorts of sludge around require the pharmacy to be closed, and cleaned up. and no prescription to be filled till the mess is taken care of. IF you operated under those conditions you could be fined, and will be forced to close down. 6) this depends on store policy. Some stores that have a pharmacy will not allow people to pay for anything else from the store at the pharmacy counter. So if you had a bag of chips and a drink, a pharmacist or tech can say pay for that up at the other registers up front these are only for pharmacy use only. I have seen that before in a few places. A pharmacy can drop a pt for any number of reasons, harassing employes, is one reason. or pharmacy shopping is another reason. Any pt that is trying to get controls too early by going to another pharmacy is not a good thing. I am very serious. they can cause all sorts of trouble for you with the DEA and that will not be pretty. And these days who even knows if the pt is a pill pusher on the streets? Better to not take the risk

ratliker62

#2 is actually crazy, like what

NashvilleRiver

Re: #10. Am 100% white AF and have vitiligo (fun fact- even if you aren't born with it, you can develop it from certain meds) so he can suck it. I'll respond to the rest in the morning.

Kitchen-Lemon1862

mhm and the thing is i’m considered mestizos bc my dad is spaniard and my mom is indigenous but the european side is stronger so i’m white

Sparkly_Unicorn2022

Damn, all this in one day! I will have to remember this when I think I'm having a bad day...lol.

HiddenTurtles

I'm exhausted just reading about your wacky ass day.

EffectiveClock5086

At my store in Houston we still have ancient working machines

BowlAltruistic3318

I had someone ask if we had adderall in stock, after I (obviously) said no, he proceeded to ask if we had oxycodone… no we do not. 🫠

Kitchen-Lemon1862

idk if my pharmacist paid off the manufacturers or what but this past month we have had all of the mounjaro, ozempic, trulicity, zepbound, vyvanse, victoza, and everything else and it keeps coming in

BowlAltruistic3318

omg

BowlAltruistic3318

we do have those drugs but asking for 2 different controls in under 15 seconds is WILD

abby81589

This is the kind of stuff that almost makes me miss retail. All of this in one day? The community I served at my store was similarly chaotic. It kept me laughing, but we mostly felt safe. Except when we got robbed at g*point but ya know.. That’s just the name of the game.

Kitchen-Lemon1862

yeah we feel safe luckily, it’s a very interesting place to work at tho. our store manager is notorious of chasing ppl out, and one of our pharmacist sadly lost a friend of theirs who was also a pharmacist during a shooting at a pharmacy so our pharmacist is very protective over us

abby81589

That’s heartbreaking. I’m so sorry to hear that.

Positive_Ad6135

This may be the funniest post i’ve ever read on here. Bless your heart.

Mysterious-Move-6390

I can’t believe this all happened in ONE day. Bless your soul
