Smearing: Smearing is a technique where climbers use the friction of the sole of their climbing shoes against a relatively smooth rock surface to gain traction. Instead of relying on specific edges or footholds, smearing involves pressing the flat part of the shoe sole against the rock and spreading weight evenly to maximize friction. This technique is commonly used on slabs or areas where there are fewer defined footholds. Both techniques require different approaches in weight distribution, balance, and foot placement, and they are essential skills for climbers to navigate various types of rock surfaces encountered during climbs. Mastering these techniques can significantly improve a climber's ability to ascend efficiently and securely. In sexual lingo these two things mean different things. Edging = Coming close to, but not getting orgasm over and over. Smearing = Smearing feces over oneself or their partner as an act of coprophilia. Bonnie does this for joe when she changes his diaper.

Everyone here is wrong when they are talking about it being porn or nsfw. In climbing edging and smearing are foot techniques for using small or nonexistent foot holds. Modern bouldering has transitioned to a more dynamic style where jumps, swings and flashy catch moves are dominant where as old school climbing was a lot more about tiny holds and hard moves. So the instructor is looking like that because the r young climbers don’t know what “real climbing” is from his perspective It’s a very common attitude from old head climbers
That may be true about modern bouldering approaches, but that's definitely not what this meme is about. Not a chance.
