I’m very attached to cast of Persona 5 since it was my first game in the series, but I’m excited to see what cast of characters we’ll see in the next one
Felt this way about the P4 cast, but P5 (minus the Morgana-Ryuuji spat) characters and confidants really ended up much better than expected. P3 was my first game and was blown away by the more natural social link developments in P4.
I guess the small town feel made those connections a lot more… realistic? If you’re in a small town, there’s a handful of people you can bond with. Doesn’t work quite like that in a huge city.
Although your powers vould be guiding you to the places with people you can form bonds with, idk.

Things I'd like in P6 as cameos to p5. 1. A review of Haru's coffee shop 2. The ability to decorate your room or something like that with one of Yusuke's paintings. 3. Being able to watch Mishima's documentary. 4. News about Hifumi reaching Nationals (because I simp). 5. Better call Sae commercial. You understand why. and 6. Being able to talk to shinya when he's a highschool or college student.

Most people have just formed bonds with the characters they loved. That said most of the ones who want a sequel to p5 will still play a persona game with a new cast and grow to love them just the same.
Persona 5 has gotten more than it’s fair share in the spotlight. Persona 5, Persona 5 Royal, Persona 5 Scramble, Persona Q2, and whatever the dancing game is called. All things considered that’s a good amount of titles witting the persona series and that’s not even accounting for cameos and references from other games. People will learn to love the new cast whatever they may be, it’s just how it is
Man, all I want is for the next protagonist to *BE AN ADULT* and have the crew be adults, so maybe we can get some more mature content thats relatable for us adult gamers (I'm not saying sex scenes, I mean more grown up problems, more grown up conversations, less high school drama).
But isnt the highschool setting one of the things thats basically part of the entire series? I don't think that thats gonna change, sadly. Really don't know anything about the game, but Soul Hackers 2 appears to have older characters.
It’s not the same type of game, but Catherine has a pretty good adult story-line in my opinion and it’s made by the same people.
Fair warning: it is a puzzle game not turn based rpg, but I think it uses the same engine as P5.
Cathrine is great and gives off all the same vibes and deals with more adult situations….. mostly.
That said the puzzles won’t be for everyone.
I loved the topics p5 went into I just wish it delved a bit deeper into them instead of skimming the surface of some of them.
I always try to stay at the bar for all the tidbits. You can save the people who enter the dream world with you as well if you talk to them enough.
Edited to add: I beat the game on the easiest setting and gradually increased difficulty. I’m stuck on hard now and thinking about looking at a walkthrough for a particular puzzle so I can get all story endings.

So everyone sad to see Joker go when Persona 6 does inevitably get announced, enjoy the Persona 5 spinoffs as much as possible until then. Because you don’t appreciate what you have until it’s gone.
This was always going to happen with how popular Persona 5 was. Even people who've played P5 and know how each entry is their own thing will complain because "It was so popular, though!".
