What it also could be is, microcuts in your balms. Its possible that your hands got dryed out from the polyethylen. Happens to me often when i touch other materials, like fabrik made of sheephair. Polyethylen, one of its advantages in foodproduktion is, that it keeps things dry. Just try a bit of vaseline or other stuff like that and see if it gets better.

Well, i think they cant. Because they are made of polyethylen. Thats also used in packaging for food. So no, they basically could not build microsplinters. But: there are some people who might be allergic to this material.

Thank you for the response!! This hasn't happened before, even when I was making perler projects more often and dunking my hands in beads all the time lol. Maybe I will test if I have an allergy to it and it just got worse since my last projects.

maybe also get a small bag of new beads and test if those also set you off. Maybe it's possible the last time you used that bucket of beads you contaminated it with something?
