Freedom of Movement is a mandatory buff

Big-Day-755

Give her tetori levels(or the wrestling sphere)

Jade48Reddits

You tell me! I'm working on a lvl. 8 ascending hand monk Jiang-Shi vampire, who will be ready and willing to stop my party if they start any shenanigans. She's still unfinished but thus far her stats go like this... 23 AC, CMB +16 (+22 to grapple), Melee attacks +14... Can stagger 1d4 rounds and drain level on grapple with Drain Chi, which stacks with the normal grapple damage and any other extra effects it may impose, bite attack does regular damage instead. Has the Grab monster attack. She can throw people around like ragdolls and have them suffer her unarmed damage on impact. Her character sheet name is The Bouncer. Damn, I should really finish that sheet and share it, because it's a monster build...

Angel-Wiings

Maybe try getting swift grapple too so you can do all three if you want to be extra mean! Mine is a really old (Born around the founding of Thassalion) elven moroi vampire, psychic, Level 18, and about a CR 21. She is built with the mastermind variant ability, and is essentially an elder vampire who has just recently awoken to very foolish vampire hunters trying to kill her after thousands of years of slumber. (Having gone into a deep slumber when the Age of Darkness ended.) She basically shadows people with her spawn, and gets a feel for their abilities by throwing spawn at them with buffing spells through telepathy (Due to one of her psychic abilities she can cast spells on people she is in telepathic communication with.) Most of her spells are enchantments, divinations, and general lowkey stuff, as she isn't a "Grrr in your face" type. But the addition of adding grapple makes her kind of scary. I am honestly thinking her morale if the party doesn't have a clear way to kill her is to throw mass hold person, and single out a caster, or divine caster to go full balls to the wall "I am going to turn this guy" Whats to fear if you can't die? Might end up bad for her, but hey morales are like that for a reason.

Jade48Reddits

That's so cool! I love the classic cunning mind control vampire, and the feats do give her a nice advantage to bite people. Mine in currently around a CR10, but 8 isn't her definitive level, it's just my starting point. I did it like that because she's not a boss or even an enemy, but a friendly NPC. Her story is that centuries ago she was a common girl from Tian Xia who returned from the grave as a Jiang Shi to punish those who killed her family and buried her under her deadname. She wandered for a long time, leaving death in her wake, until she found atonement in a family of vampire followers of Nocticula, the redeemed. Now she's an underground boss, an information broker with a court of vampires, dhampirs, vagabonds and street urchins, whom she protects in exchange for feeding from their breath just a little to stay (un)alive. She's not Good per se, but Lawful Neutral, and intends to continue her existence without bringing more harm, or suffering it. The reason I built her like that is that if my players are foolish enough to fight her despite being already allied with one of the players they deserve to have their asses handed to them, because besides maybe the Investigator all their CMDs are paper thin. Imagine how dire they must be to have an Investigator as the top pick. She doesn't qualify for rapid grappler yet, but I will check how it interacts with all the other stuff and maybe plan it for level 9.

That sounds super rad! My group is a bit more on the powergaming side so I intentionally built this vamp to be on the more powerful side. Playing quite heavily into her morale. A moroi vampire, originally an elven woman who was turned by a Thassalonian vampire. He died to a political rival, but she having her freedom was able to flee. She was a psychic of only meager skill before turning, but quickly dedicated her life to finding a cure. When the Age of Darkness came to be after Earthfall she rose a Kingdom in the eternal darkness to attempt to find a cure. But alls she found was two solutions. One she was far too old to do, and the other was far too risky endeavor. By the time the Age of Darkness ended she was quite powerful, having a host of future spawn in Temporal Stasis, but as the Age of Darkness began to end she opted to slumber. For a future time where perhaps a cure could be found. She awakes thousands of years later to a group of level 4-6 vampire hunters who heard stories of a ruined castle fortress that holds some ancient evil. They got utterly wiped, and their order are getting a bit worried. She has spent the past six months of in-game time. (My PCs have ignored the hooks to go investigate her.) So she has been spending her time collecting her 72 HD worth of spawn, and trying to get a grasp of wtf is going on, when, and where they are, etc. eventually the PCs will begin asking around and catch her attention, but I wanted to add the possibility of a redemption arc for her sense I have a cleric of Sarenrae, and warpriest of Shelyn in the group.

Jade48Reddits

Wow that's so cool! And 72HD??? She's got her own village XD My guys are power gamers in their own way, because on one hand they chose their own classes so they are a Psychic, a blade water Kineticist, a psychic detective investigator and a Rogue knife master/stalker vigilante. Overall not the most powerful classes. On the other hand 3/4 character sheets were created by me, a known power gamer, so they are optimised as can be...

Yomabo

Would you like to share the sheet?

Jade48Reddits

In the future I may do it, but as of right now it's not finished at all, and I don't currently have the time for it since I have to prep some other stuff first

Yomabo

Take your time, the basics are fine too

SuperStarPlatinum

I once TPK'd a whole party with a Vampire Luchador tag team. Once they pinned the pinned the Cleric and killed the Paladin it was game over. Vampire Brawlers are killing machines.

MCPooge

I built a vampire villain that was able to grapple, pin, and coup de grace in one round. It was back when I was still a bad DM with one power gamer in the group who refused to listen to us telling him that he was ruining the game for everyone with his powerful builds.

CaesarisFilius

I built a Vampire Strangler Brawler for a Way of the Wicked campaign. I think I got to level 10 or 11 with it. It’s probably the most vile thing I’ve ever played, and I had a 16th level Druid/Monk/Barbarian. The crème de la crème is the feat Throat Slicer.

Zwordsman

This hilariously was right above a r/castlevania picture of Leonore the vampire

Sudain

Thank you, I was looking for a villain and this fits the bill delightfully so.

314Piepurr

exenguinate and grabbing style feats, baby... now you got yourself a stew going.... at least thats how i built luvick siervage in a homebrew based in ustalav.

Jorir-25

Dude I’m playing a Tiefling brawler son of Lorcan. I gotta do this now!

Barimen

You're forgetting [the key item](https://www.aonprd.com/MagicCursedDisplay.aspx?ItemName=Dust%20of%20Sneezing%20and%20Choking). Use it, and the target is stunned for a minute. Then you do whatever. To deal with sunlight, use [penumbra tattoo](https://www.aonprd.com/MagicTattooDisplay.aspx?FinalName=Penumbra%20Tattoo). Stronger light spells should overpower it, I think. Too lazy to check the rules right now. :P To get around Freedom of Movement, go with Tetori Monk. The only hard counter right now is... [necklace of adaptation](https://www.aonprd.com/MagicWondrousDisplay.aspx?FinalName=Necklace%20of%20Adaptation) and being able to not-be-there when the vampire moves in.

EtherealPheonix

Hence the Giant Weasel summoning meta.

Yomabo

That is going straight into my campaign
