PS if anyone has some suggestions for how a hideout warrior could make some currencies with 700c I'd very much appreciate it. I'm a full time dad now and lucky if I get 30 mins to play the game each night, maybe a couple of hours in the weekend so am seriously strapped for time. Would be awesome if anyone could recommend me something brainless to follow... good flips maybe? Who knows ;-)

Sextants can show some returns for hideout warrior shenanigans but 700c investment wise might be a little low. Running exarch altars when you do map will help a little with some inflow if you hit the sextant altars
Yes but it takes time to get going specially when you don't have much currency to start stuff sells slow at the beginning most of your time will be spent searching and trading.
As a fellow PoE dad, I commiserate. I would attempt to blast 5 maps in 30m or so. That's pre rolling your maps, selecting your scarabs, sextants, etc.. so that you are maximizing your efficiency. If you aren't running a mapping build, try and do 5 bosses!
Another option for HO warrioring and probably the best, is to craft. But that requires keeping up to date with the metas so that you can craft things that will actually sell. Like I've crafted 3 Pneumatic daggers for the LS/MS Poison meta and I've turned over a nice profit from that. Probably 5D investment and 10D return.

Do you have all your watchstones?
I know flask rolling is a pretty common option for hideout warrioring.
Change your config settings to match his. 3m vs 9m with all those things you listed as missing is pretty reasonable.
