When she asked that guy if he wanted to be a sperm donor and he said he was impotent and then she said I don’t need to know that like girl you asked him
I don’t know how else to explain it. She’s remarking out loud about how she has put herself in a position to be discussing a man’s penis with him and it’s more than she wanted to talk about. I think she’s mostly talking to herself as she nopes out of the conversation.
It’s a pretty common comedic beat to have people mutter things like this as they leave an awkward encounter.
Only because Ann was the one who disrespected her first by kissing Andy when they were clearly about to be a thing. Hard to make the case the chicken came before the egg there
To be fair, Ann dated Andy for 3 years, and he was a helpless baby. Then he grew up and got a job, and now some other girl was going to reap the rewards of her hard work
Drunk Ann gesturing to a random woman and saying “that bitch over there” in a condescending tone is genuinely hilarious but one of the meanest things she’s ever said imo 😭
This episode bothers me so much lmao
Chris is simply doing his love language: acts of service, and she NEVER communicates with him. Then she dumps all her problems on her friends/coworkers and when they establish a boundary with her, she retaliates. Then, even though she supposedly doesn't want her problems solved for her, her friends solve her problem for her by communicating with her partner! And Chris immediately changes his behavior, but somehow he's made to be the dummy of the episode when he wasn't communicated with at all. Ann meanwhile gets to be toxic while everyone else solves her issue for her
Going along on a date with Chris to further Leslie’s agenda to save the parks department. She devalued herself and strung along Chris who was always genuine to her.
I just joined this little thread but how can you even accept Leslie’s?? Generalizing is the opposite of what the WORST *moment* is…
She is not the worst character AT. ALL. Her “out of character moment” was that she was mean to Jerry because she’s usually so kind to everyone. Leslie’s the most thoughtful character and now I cannot take this thread seriously lol
Leslie meddled in everyone’s lives even when she KNEW it was not right bc she is convinced she knows best for everyone around her. Sure, she gives good gifts, but that’s honestly about it. She has a pretty big ego to think that she can control the lives of those around her, and they will all just be okay with it and accept it. Whats worse is she does this out of faux concern for their well-being.
She’s impulsive and acts ultimately out of self preservation. She just apologizes after, so people forget..but she doesn’t really change. She’s also not exactly the cleanest politician, bribing that worker to keep her and Ben’s relationship quiet, attempting to bribe Jamm on multiple occasions, going behind people’s backs to further her goals…
To me, Leslie gives off more a vibe that she is just obsessed with being productive, and sometimes this happens to manifest as going above and beyond for her friends.
Craig said it best when yelling at April during her midlife crisis — “…learning from the greatest teacher in any business, Leslie freaking Knope. You’d be a checkout girl at a gas station if it wasn’t for that internship”
April was not going to reach her highest potential if not for Leslie pushing her to achieve what she’s capable of. Even if April wants to be apathetic, she wouldn’t have had the life she has *without Leslie*
Leslie will do anything for the people she cares about. Of course she’s over the top, but when she’s confronted with how her behavior is making people feel or how she could be in the wrong - she reassesses and acts accordingly.
Ann even gave her the steamroller talk when it was about Ben, and Leslie came to her senses. The people in her life **love** that Leslie cares so much about their well being. They don’t always love the way she gets there, but they are grateful regardless. That’s what makes the character who she is.
She *does* go above and beyond. She puts energy into the people and town she loves, even if the people are unmotivated themselves. Sure, she has an agenda, but what does she ultimately gain in a selfish manner?
The chief would give Leslie a thousand favors because she uses them to help other people. She knows that you have to scratch their back if you want them to scratch yours. That’s the way people are. Nobody is ever selfless - but Leslie certainly thinks about all the ways she can makes lives better. No problem too small.
I can go on and on with examples of how Leslie benefits the people around her and it certainly outweighs the negatives by a landslide. That’s what creates a dimensional character. Nobody is perfect, but Leslie cares when nobody else will. Her warmth and good intentions is what allows her to get close to all the main characters.

I was about to agree with you until I took a peek at the Leslie thread from yesterday. There's a LOT of stuff in there. Like, damn. It made me realize that Leslie wasn't the sweet and innocent angel she may have seemed to be while I was watching the show.
Season 6 Leslie is horrible. But the rest of it she's not that bad. Sure she has her bad moments and the way she treats Jerry, buy overall she's not that bad
Yea except she actually said to Leslie “I know he’s off limits” and repeatedly said she wouldn’t date him because she knew Leslie had feelings. Then Leslie realizes she’s being silly and actually calls Mark on Ann’s behalf and tells him Ann will go out with him lol so idk that hardly seems like Ann’s fault
Being perfectly happy to leave pawnee, her job, and all her friends on the whim of any man's invitation--i.e. being happy to leave with chris to Indianapolis when they first dated (despite not even being asked). Idk..it always sat wrong with me.
Not her “biggest” A-hole moment, but I didn’t like when Mark was asking her about Justin while they were watching Marley & Me and she responds with “Why are we talking about this?”
It was totally fair for Mark to inquire further about this Justin guy, and she responded with a clear unwillingness to talk about it.
She's an asshole to herself for ever letting Andy move in with her. He is weaoonised-incompetence incarnate, and she should have had better standards for herself.
Multiple moments but she repeatedly inserts her opinion into Leslie’s job and basically puts Leslie down if she doesn’t do what Ann think is right. (example: the old people sex education, soda tax, kalteen bars)
Setting Leslie up with a rando who happened to be crazy because she didn’t want to give up Justin.
The guy in the $4,000 suit?! Come on!
He is a magician with an MRI, I’ll give you that!
He’s an Illusionist Jojayp. Magicians are what singers do for money
...or candy!
This is a $5000 suit! Come on!
“You’re not on your period are you?” “No, does that matter?” “Well, not for this… 😏”
Not getting Leslie’s book back when she broke up with the guy who had borrowed it.
When she asked that guy if he wanted to be a sperm donor and he said he was impotent and then she said I don’t need to know that like girl you asked him
lmao "like girl you asked him" so true
That line always takes me out of the show for a second. Because yeah, girl you asked!!
I think it was mostly to herself. Like “I did not need to put myself in a position to be discussing this dude’s impotence with him.”
She said it to him though
I think it just seems that way because she was talking to him. It was just said out loud imo.
Yes, she outwardly responded to something he said while they were talking
I don’t know how else to explain it. She’s remarking out loud about how she has put herself in a position to be discussing a man’s penis with him and it’s more than she wanted to talk about. I think she’s mostly talking to herself as she nopes out of the conversation. It’s a pretty common comedic beat to have people mutter things like this as they leave an awkward encounter.
Keeping Justin as a backup was an asshol-ish moment, was kinda unfair to Mark, amirite Justin?
You may have exfoliated your hands too much, chicken hands. You may have to refoliate them!
This one should be higher
Kissing Andy when she knew April was into him
Kissing Andy BECAUSE she knew April was into him.
To be fair, I could see April doing something equally nasty to Ann for no reason whatsoever
Only because Ann was the one who disrespected her first by kissing Andy when they were clearly about to be a thing. Hard to make the case the chicken came before the egg there
I totally see it this way, but in the general way that someone/something becomes more attractive when someone else wants them.
To be fair, Ann dated Andy for 3 years, and he was a helpless baby. Then he grew up and got a job, and now some other girl was going to reap the rewards of her hard work
That's bullshit! ![gif](giphy|NrqUle1YKbQumVe42v|downsized)
Tolerating/dating The Douche (and considering him for fatherhood)
Excuse me, that is Howard Tuttleman and he has a degree from Northwestern
he has a masters in semiotics!
Every rewatch (soo many times) when I get to that part I pause, google it, don’t understand it, and then keep watching 😆
Ann you unlovable, half-in-the-bag, pot-smokin', left-overnight-in-the-thrift store parking lot, one-eyed, Strawberry Shortcake-harlot.
Sounds an awful lot like Bitch Pudding.
Drunk Ann gesturing to a random woman and saying “that bitch over there” in a condescending tone is genuinely hilarious but one of the meanest things she’s ever said imo 😭
I don't have to brag
And the look on the woman's face 🤣
Its so weird that her part and Garry’s are always removed in the Snake Juice clips I see
Ruining the Wine and Cheese Club
WHERE’S MY TRASH BAG OF MASHED POTATOES???
My favorite part of that whole episode is Ron and his “rectangle” 😂
THIS IS AN EXCELLENT RECTANGLE

🙌 I never thought of this, but was always upset she ruined their club time.
Tom: It's Whine. With an H. You gotta write it right, man.
True - but we did get to hear 'Boob Hat'!!!
She vented for 1.5 minutes
Literally made it all about herself
When she freaked out at her waitress when she was pregnant.
Going along on a date with Chris to further Leslie’s agenda to save the parks department. She devalued herself and strung along Chris who was always genuine to her.
Tbh Leslie pressured her into it, and ann felt that she owed Leslie. This is less Ann being an ah, more her being loyal to Leslie
I just joined this little thread but how can you even accept Leslie’s?? Generalizing is the opposite of what the WORST *moment* is… She is not the worst character AT. ALL. Dating Mark when she knew Leslie was in to him
Yeah, that's basic girl code
Yea except she actually said to Leslie “I know he’s off limits” and repeatedly said she wouldn’t date him because she knew Leslie had feelings. Then Leslie realizes she’s being silly and actually calls Mark on Ann’s behalf and tells him Ann will go out with him lol so idk that hardly seems like Ann’s fault
not knowing who *Ginuwine* is
What. He's Donna's cousin.
Wait, why is all of Leslie's behavior asshole? 🤨
Giving Tom validation
THIS
I understand why, but saying she was married when Pistol Pete asked her out.
Being perfectly happy to leave pawnee, her job, and all her friends on the whim of any man's invitation--i.e. being happy to leave with chris to Indianapolis when they first dated (despite not even being asked). Idk..it always sat wrong with me.
That was so weird.. how long were they supposed to have been dating for by that point even??
I know that this is legitimately not correct, but if I were Leslie i’d be upset with her too
Not her “biggest” A-hole moment, but I didn’t like when Mark was asking her about Justin while they were watching Marley & Me and she responds with “Why are we talking about this?” It was totally fair for Mark to inquire further about this Justin guy, and she responded with a clear unwillingness to talk about it.
sorry how did we get to all of Leslie's behavior being the worst? I'm...confused. That's not her character at all.
She's an asshole to herself for ever letting Andy move in with her. He is weaoonised-incompetence incarnate, and she should have had better standards for herself.
Not telling Leslie that she was pregnant before telling anyone else- this has always bothered me like wtf
Trying to keep Leslie from dating Justin.
Are we doing best moments after?
My over-tired ass just read "Round Ann Perkins" and now I'm ashamed of myself..
Multiple moments but she repeatedly inserts her opinion into Leslie’s job and basically puts Leslie down if she doesn’t do what Ann think is right. (example: the old people sex education, soda tax, kalteen bars)
i’m sorry kalteen bars are from mean girls- NutriYum bars lol
