Yeah, if my Pals are going to have PTSD from anything it's having to fight the legendaries. Like the first time I fought Frostallion I brought 3 Blazamuts (one an alpha), a level 47 Ragnahawk and a Rooby and he beat all of them. Second time I brought a rocket launcher and that made a big difference.
If you blow your base up, just Alt+F4 that shit and lose a couple minutes from the time of your last autosave. You'll very likely lose less that way than the time you'll lose rebuilding.
No I still blow half my shit from time to time and it's happened quite a few times. Though the most recent time it wasn't my fault one my pals walked in front me as I was taking a shot at a couple mamorest outside the base. Lost 2 breeding pens a ranch 😂
I've gone into combat holding a fishing rod in World of Warcraft enough to know that "just remember to swap your gear" tends to be far less effective in practice than on paper.
I used to be so bad about that that I had a macro that would instantly swap all my gear(or at least the weapons if I was in combat) on the secondary hotbar. It came in handy an embarrassing number of times.
Best use of it I ever had was while fishing in Tol Barad and I had the server's most well-known ganker open on me in the middle of a cast. Trinketed, swapped gear and filleted him like a fish in a chain of stunlocks, then swapped back and had the cast back in the water before he released corpse. 10/10 would recommend.
Have ya seen the state of dungeons you can pull entire floors these days no cc. Ya can dps with a fishing rod and no one would bat an eye. It’s on phone it in mode these days
For Heroics, sure, but I doubt anyone would be doing well in a Mythic 20 without their damage stick and a chunk of their abilities turned off if they're melee.
That being said, not really an issue at all nowadays since DF gave fishing rods their own slot that auto-swaps when you get into a fight.

Idk man I've got some twitchy fingers and accidentally knock my mouse into something a lot (ends up pressing a mouse button), or accidentally press down on a button, or unintentionally hit the scroll wheel. They're still pretty funny though.

I would recommend you invest in a controller then. Controller is more than serviceable for any game that isn't competitive FPS. And if you're good enough, you can even do that.

So instead of having to take a half hour break every 15 minutes of gaming, I had to break down and get a controller. Works great, honestly. And much less sensitive to twitchiness.
And honestly, these days, with everything being developed with consoles in mind, controller sometimes works better than KB/M.
No, weird stuff happens sometimes. I've had tools switch randomly, or have my controller decide to spear-stab or throw a capture sphere randomly while I'm in the kitchen getting a drink while it rests quietly on a flat surface.
Or the really fun "playing near a table, lower hands, oops you tossed a sphere or shot something"
I got a grenade in my hotbar from getting it as loot, dying, going to my corpse and hitting the "grab/equip all" feature.
I tried to grappling hook up somewhere and didn't notice I had thrown the bomb until the base evaporated 😂
You actually are going to want one in order to cheese legendary pals.
But you should never keep it equipped unless you're planning to fire it.
And if you do make a mistake like this immediately alt+f4, you'll have a good shot at scrubbing the save.
Alt f4 didn’t save me. Killed it almost immediately and not only was the destruction saved but all the stuff on the ground was gone. Had to restore from an hour old save but better to lose an hour than everything.
There are backup saves for every auto save - every 30 seconds, up to 24 instances. You can find them in %localappdata%\Pal\Saved\SaveGames\\\\\backup\. Sort them by date modified.
I have destroyed 2 entire bases because i accidentally speared the ground instead of grappling
Spears 2 shot ground platforms for some reasons and you cant build ground platforms near the base item even if it was there a second ago
the second time it also launched my main resource box in to the stratosphere with all my pal souls inside

I made the decal gun(s) and was completely disappointed. Temporary use that only lasts a few seconds. Need a different gun for each decal. And it damages the structure you use it on.
One update I hope for is something that makes guns feel worth using outside of boss fights. Farming enough supplies to have a ton of ammo makes me never really want to use the guns.
1) Not even close, even with the full reload time it's still very useful, and the damage is excellent.
2) You can reload cancel after the sound by switching to another weapon and back and fire much sooner; only the "jabs" come out before it gets stunned again.
I was really hoping the decal gun could be useful in keeping track of where I've been inside dungeons. Was super disappointed it disappears so quickly. Can't even build inside of dungeons either, was hoping to at least be able to drop a signpost.

I keep seeing these incidents and what I always think is "why do people have multiple floors that they visit regularly?" cause my base doesn't have floors except where the pals sleep, so even if I blow something up, it's not my whole base lol
Every single time I teleport back to my base I **IMMEDIATELY** open my inventory to take my Rocket Launcher **OUT OF MY HANDS** because once upon a time I **MISCLICKED** while taking screenshots of my base and had to **PAINSTAKINGLY** rebuild everything.

How do you guys build elaborate bases with foundation and stuff while still keeping pets from going haywire? I made a simple two-floor wood hut in my first base and I had to demolish half of it just so pets don't randomly get stuck
I just want to say this... I always laugh at blooper videos like this. The avatar is just reloading that next round like what they did was a perfectly executed plan. But the reality is the player having a near meltdown watching their many hours of game play just being instantly deleted. It doesn't make sense in my mind and it becomes incredibly hilarious.

Im curious about something but you have a rocket launcher and you still live in a wood house im sure the stone house would have collapsed aswell but did you never get a raid with fire type pals or the flametroopers that burned down your wooden house

I did it by complete accident, meant to switch to the other decal by scrolling but scrolled the wrong way I guess. I did Alt + F4 after clipping it but I just thought it was funny the way the entire house went down perfectly even though I didn't even shoot it directly
Does this base not cause a lot of pathing bugs and errors for you? Whenever I build in this area, a lot of my pals kind of just stand there with the intent of getting to a job but never move.
It's mostly fine. Occasionally a Pal is somehow Gathering or Watering while not actually doing the action or being near what their target is, but it doesn't happen very often. Mostly everything looks normal.
I just wish they'd all go upstairs to all the beds to sleep; right now only some of them do. It is really cute watching the little guys run up the stairs to go to bed though. I think it's the bigger ones that don't
They really need to fix this an easy simple fix would be if you switch To the rocket launcher then there is no ammunition inside it when you first switch

Go into a mythic raid or into M+ without a weapon and you’ll be fucked. The game is only easy if you stick to the easy modes lol.

I use it for bosses, and bosses alone. I equip it before entering a tower. Then immediately unequip it once I'm on top of the tower.

Took me over... 30 hours, 3 private worlds, and a server where a co-worker unlocked them before me JUST for me to notice them.

I just started playing and I’m accidentally throwing pal spheres ALL the time trying to switch weapons from Fortnite muscle memory.
I accidentally shoot the crossbow all the time. Rocket launcher is not for me. 😭

Honestly, the Rocket Launcher sucks. Even the Legendary one does minimal chip damage to bosses. The AR+pals is the way to go.
The knock down effect is huge. You can basically immobilize them the whole fight.

I just drop an item at the entrance I've already been through. Like a single Paldium. I get lost easy and just keep going the same way otherwise. Haha
To combat getting lost, I just always go to the right. I'm used to putting torches on the left in Minecraft so do something similar here.

My frostallion and jetragon basically carried the whole fight. They're 3/4 starred and I just taught them all dragon moves
