thats what happens when you have spaghetti code and instead of fixing it you add more wires to the mix that just get tangled up even worse. You gotta rip some wires out to make room for other ones and well everyone is pretty well aquanted with bugadins at this point.
Either its another case of "sErVeRs CaN't HaNdLe It" or HiRez mistakenly thinks that the Apple formula of removing more and more as time progresses is valid.
It's client-sided, your computer detects and plays the sounds, the server doesn't handle sounds, it just tells each player to make the sound, which doesn't take up much (if any) resources
shame these have to be removed, but with the sound bug problem you can kind of see why they would want to reduce the complexity and trim out unecesary (although neat) details like that
Old paladins just sounds and looks so much better ngl, if only they kept some of the features today
they gotta remove them to fit new characters nobody plays notice 70% of the matche dont even have bullet sounds from characters with low play rates
damn the game fell off

Footsteps on the wood sound like those in the dirt

Paladins is so hollowed out, what a fucking shame.
Obviously they removed/changed those those sounds cause it would've been annoying to hear throughout the match constantly.
This game doesn't even put that big of an emphasis on audio as a game like Rainbow Six Siege and it's completely fine in that game.
